The Harvest Is Here

The Harvest Is Here

Hello there! Happy Sunday to you. ❤ I hope you’re doing well! I’ve decided to center today’s post on a single Bible verse, not only because it’s wonderful, but also because it has been a good while since I wrote about His Word, which I love so much!

From now on, I’m planning on sharing verses on Sundays this way when one really stands out to me from the week. If I feel like I can write a post on it (like I am today), I’ll gladly do so!

If you’d like to see the verse I’m sharing in this post, I’m including it below! I hope you enjoy reading. ❤

John 4:35

“Do you not say,
It is still four months until harvest comes?
Look! I tell you,
raise your eyes and observe the fields
and see how they are already white for harvesting.”

Let’s say you’re making preparations for a mission trip you’re going on this summer. It is definitely looking like everything is going smoothly, and the trip itself will be a great success.

But that’s four months from now.

Does that mean you should save all of your creative, loving energy for that trip? It makes more sense to put all your effort into planning, preparing, making sure everything’s ready for the day you leave – right?

Well, I think there’s a beautiful balance to be found between thriving in the present, and being conscious of the future. ❤

You see, if we were to wait until specific opportunities to be kind, to love, to share with others about His grace, the world would be a much darker place.

The time is always right to do what’s right.

We need beautiful individuals to rise up and believe, with their whole heart, that the harvest is always here.

Thank you so much for reading! I’m praying I could inspire you on this lovely Sunday. 🙂

Let me know in the comments below what YOU thought of this post!
I’d love to hear from you. ❤

The 7 Attributes Of A Godly Friend

The 7 Attributes Of A Godly Friend

Hi there! I hope you’re having a beautiful weekend. ❤ In this post, I will be sharing something with you that has been on my heart a lot recently. I’ve been thinking about, praying over, laughing about, and just overall enjoying this aspect of my life, because it is so new and absolutely wonderful to me.

In one of my dearest blogging friends, Jordan (whom I featured in this post!!), I have found a sweet sister in Christ, and the godly friendship we now share is truly changing me for the better. ❤

For years, I have been praying that the Lord would provide me with some people (even just one person!) with whom I can have fun with and call my close friend. It was something constantly on my mind, and it frequently came up in my prayer life, for I was always either losing old friends, or feeling lonely because I had none.

Throughout my childhood and teenage years, too, I have been searching for a friend – and along the way, I have come to see just how important the Lord is in my life, and also that He has provided me with perfect companions in my immediate family. I went through much heartache, rejection, trial, and nights of crying myself to sleep to come to this conclusion, but the temporary pain was well worth it … for I now have a beautiful friend I can confide in, my family to depend on, and my Lord to dedicate my life to.

I could not have come to this point had the Lord not led me through those deep waters.

I definitely struggle when situations don’t turn out the way I desire for them to, and I’d never deliberately choose to experience heartache. But with the Lord by my side? I’ll gladly take on the world if it is His will. For I know that He doesn’t put me through hardship unnecessarily – there is purpose in the pain, and He is there with me through it all.

In this heartfelt post, I brainstormed and came up with 7 beautiful attributes of a godly friend. While writing them, I drew from the experience I have from being buddies with Jordan, and while I (hopefully, haha) possess some of these qualities myself, each one was inspired by Jordan!! I could not have asked the Lord for a better friend than Jordan, and I mean that with all my heart. 🙂

Now, would you like to see the list? Here it is!

The 7 Attributes Of A Godly Friend

— They cause us to draw closer to the Lord. Whether we’re praying for them (or they’re praying for us!), their words of wisdom and willingness to pray for us encourages us in Christ. It is a very good thing to have godly friends! Because who we’re around deeply influences us, and those who have a positive, Christ-like attitude will encourage us to grow as Christians. ❤

— They uplift and positively impact us. Most good friends aim to do this, but it is very prevalent in friends who are following the Lord! Their kindness stems from joy and brotherly (or sisterly!) love, and is fueled by grace.

— We trust their judgement and can depend on their honesty. There are occasions when friends won’t tell the truth to preserve the feelings of their friend, but we know that godly friends are trustworthy and honest! (In the best way possible, even if we don’t want to hear it haha) If you are close enough to the person, their discussions with you will be genuine, thoughtful, and kind, which leads to my next point …

— It’s fulfilling to have conversations with them. There’s something different (and better!) about getting to talk with others who know the Lord – almost like the conversation was planned by the Lord to happen. Isn’t that beautiful? ❤ I believe that sharing Bible verses, praying for each other, and talking about how the Lord’s working in our lives causes us to have a stronger bond with those friends, because the Lord is Who is holding the relationship in His hands.

— We know the Lord handpicked us for each other. I came up with this one while thinking about my friendship with Jordan – we have SO much in common, and even the differences between us compliment each other! I’m very thankful that she and I met through blogging, because she is one of the most genuine, funniest people I’ve ever met (:

— They’re there for us through the hard times. There’s nothing quite like having a godly friend to talk things through with when life gets tough. ❤ Being able to depend on a partner in prayer is a beautiful thing, and their wisdom and inspiring words help immensely, too!

— They model attributes we desire to possess. As I mentioned a moment ago, there are times when differences between two friends even each other out, and encourage the other to be stronger in those areas! For example, if the first person is going through something hard that the second person has already experienced and overcome, then the latter person can be a huge encouragement to the first. ❤

Thank you very much for reading! This was a wonderful post for me to write, because it helped me to organize my thoughts, and I now know what to further look for in future friends.

I hope you enjoyed reading my post on this lovely Sunday! Hope you have a blessed new week. ❤

My March To Do List

My March To Do List

Hello, guys! ❤ Happy Thursday to you! 🙂 As we can all see, another month has made its way around, leaving the previous one in its dust. I am thoroughly surprised we’ve already made it to March – I mean, hadn’t February just begun?? I’m serious, haha!

Anyway, I always love when new months arrive, because they are absolutely fresh. The possibilities are limitless of what one could both focus on and achieve – whatever our hearts desire! For this whole upcoming thirty-one days in March, I plan on doing what always makes me extremely happy to do: stay productive.

I’m praying that this may be your overall focus for the new month, too! Sharing what we hope to get done with each other helps us stay motivated to keep daily tackling our list of things to do. 🙂 May the things you hoping to accomplish over the next few weeks come to fruition! xx

Now, if you’re interested in seeing what I hope to check off my list this March, I’d love if you read the rest of this post! Let me know in the comments below what you desire to do this month, too. ❤ Enjoy!

My March To Do List

  • watch some more movies.
  • continue to organize digital photos.
  • read (at least!) one book.
  • master my favorite settings on my camera.
  • finish the Spanish courses on Memrise.
  • try a few new recipes.
  • eat healthy and stay fit.
  • keep up with reading blogs.
  • slowly go through possessions that don’t matter to me anymore.
  • continue interacting more with my brothers.
  • have less screen time.
  • help my mom around the house.
  • stay focused on completing schoolwork.
  • get a haircut.
  • write a few blog posts a week.

Thank you very much for reading! I plan to accomplish even more than this in the next few weeks, lol, so this is just a basic outline of what I’d love to be able to do. Later, I’m going to copy this list down on paper and put it up on my bedroom wall, so then I’ll be unable to forget what I could be working on next!

I’m praying that this wonderful month of March is a fantastic, beneficial one for you, and that you’re doing well today! We’re almost to the weekend, guys – we’ve got this. ❤
