25 Blog Post Ideas
For Lifestyle Bloggers

Hi everyone! I’m Oxria and today I’ll share with you 25 fun blog post ideas for lifestyle bloggers!

I am a lifestyle blogger myself (or at least that’s what I like to think, haha) and I know how hard it can be sometimes to come up with unique ideas! That being said, I really hope my list helps you! 😁

1. Get to know me
This is a pretty classic blog post, but it’s really useful! It can help your audience get to know more about you, the person behind the blog they’re following, and you create a stronger connection, which is always good. I’ve written a few of these too, and the results were great, as I got closer to my followers, and even gained a few more!

2. Update posts
These are very easy to write, as you just have to talk about the things you’ve been doing and maybe share a few photos. It’s a simple way to let your followers know more about your life and maybe give new visitors a reason to subscribe to your blog. Here’s one of my update posts: Thoughts and photos.

3. OOTD posts
If you love fashion and styling clothes, sharing a few photos of your outfit-of-the-day is a fun way to inspire others and even help them discover their own style!

4. Bucket lists
Write a list sharing your goals, whether they’re life goals, monthly or weekly goals! Then, you can write a new blog post whenever you achieve one of the goals and tell your followers more about how you did it, how it felt etc.

5. Music Playlist
Share your favourite songs and artists. Remember what they say: Music connects people.

6. Giveaway
Thanking your followers for their support is very important, and hosting a giveaway is one of the best ways out there to do that!

7. Photo dumps
I love this type of posts, because they’re very easy to write and read. If some of your followers are busy, they won’t click on a post that takes a long time to read, but they will click on a photo-filled post!

8. Talk about your pets
I do this all the time, usually within an update post. But you can always write a separate post dedicated to your pets. After all, they deserve it, right? 🐈

9. Q&As
Ask your followers to leave you questions and answer them in a post! I personally feel great whenever a blogger chooses my question and answers to it. haha

10. Your favourite Youtubers/Bloggers
Similar to the Music Playlist post, this can help you discover common interests between you and your audience.

Coffee Chat | He Is Faithful

Coffee Chat | He Is Faithful

Note: I wrote this post the day after I had my first ever surgery. I was thinking about how the Lord had brought me through all of it, which overflowed into the writing of this post. ❤ If you’d like, you can read about my recovery here!

Hey there! I hope you’re having a beautiful Sunday. ❤ This past week, I have been recovering from my first ever surgery. While that has been a lot to adjust to, I’ve also been extremely mindful of the fact that the Lord is the One Who has brought me here. That’s what I’d like to talk about today. Are you ready? Let’s both grab a beautiful cup of coffee and sit down for a lovely chat. ❤

From the moment I knew I’d be having surgery, stress and anxiety flooded my thoughts in waves. I could easily go from enjoying my life to realizing my peace was soon to be shattered. I let it have power over me from May 4th through the 8th, and only felt truly on top of my emotions once or twice. I just kept dwelling on the aspects of the surgery that frightened me most, instead of continually holding on to the hope I know is true.

I finally felt like I was in control of how I was feeling in the moments before the nurse called me back on Tuesday morning … and that wasn’t even my doing. I can clearly remember how peaceful I was while looking out that second-story window.

I went from battling intense nerves to finding peace – and I know Who gave that to me.

Through various situations in my life, I look back and see how He came just when I needed Him. There have definitely been other times where I thought He should have shown up … but those were actually situations where He was at work and I didn’t even know it. His involvement in our life isn’t just about what we can see!

He knows what we need. He knows what we’re able to handle. He knows what we can face when empowered by His strength.

Being able to walk confidently with the Lord requires consistent faith and the daily act of surrender. It’s not something that easily comes, and we often don’t realize until we’re personally going through something just how tough it can be. However, through all of this I believe that knowing the Lord is on my side is enough to face it all. Especially having just gone through something I thought I’d never be able to do – and was able to through His strength and peace! – I have just seen once again how powerful He is. ❤

What I’ve Been Loving – May 11th

What I’ve Been Loving – May 11th

Hi there! I hope your day is going well. ❤ Having spent the last few days mostly in bed and taking it easy at home, I’ve been wanting to share something more on my blog that was more than a just life update! Being the productive person that I am, where I can’t comfortably go for too long without doing something worthwhile, it is already helping me to compose this post. ❤ There have been different things about my life recently that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed, and it was each and every one of those things that have inspired my post for today. 🙂 I hope you enjoy!

Watching the sunset. We don’t have a very good view of the night sky from our house, but any time we’re out in the evenings, I absolutely love watching the sunset! This is one picture I got recently, when the dimming sky honestly looked like cotton candy.

Horseback riding. I had no idea how much I’d enjoy doing this with my brother on Friday afternoons! We ended up going three weeks in a row, and we had a blast every time. My current profile picture is from the ride we went on last Friday, when we paid for an hour instead of thirty minutes. The horse I’m riding in the picture (right) was Ryker, and while he was the most difficult to ride out of the three I’ve ridden so far, he was still a good boy!

Spending time with Elizabeth. She’s growing up so fast, and I’m really enjoying being with her – whether we’re at a playground or hanging out in the living room. She’s so much fun to photograph. I absolutely love her hair and eyelashes!

Becoming more comfortable taking selfies. While capturing the pictures for my last few posts, I realized that I’m not as camera shy as I have been for quite a long time! It was easier for me to take those pictures than at other times, and I think it has to do with being more confident. ❤

My current lockscreen. I saw an ad on Pinterest for an inspirational lockscreen app, and I’m so happy I bought it! This little baby killdeer has made me smile every time I turned on my phone these last few days.

Overcoming my fear of IVs. I certainly didn’t like getting the one I had on Tuesday, but I was also able to go through with it! Before now, I was terrified of the thought of them, but since I’ve already had one, it will be easier to have them done in the future.

Listening to Unspoken‘s newest EP. My mom has been enjoying the band’s song “Start A Fire” for a few years now (and I love the lyrics, as well!), and when she started listening to their song “Higher” a few weeks ago, I decided to listen to their songs myself, and oh my gosh. I love their music now! I didn’t know what I was missing, haha

Watching Frasier. I knew I would need something to watch while recovering from surgery, and when my mom recommended this show to me, I shortly thereafter fell in love with it! The main characters continually have me laughing, and the storylines are perfect.

Samuel’s ‘get well soon’ gifts. He has felt bad that I had to go through the surgery and then recovery, so he has given me some different little gifts that mean a lot to me. He found this awesome BB-8 eraser last weekend and he gave it to me, so I’ve been displaying it on my desk since then. 🙂

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you have a great weekend. ❤
