The Fall Tag!

The Fall Tag!

Hi guys! I hope that you’re all doing well. 🙂 I have something really exciting to share with you today! To celebrate the wonderful month of October, and because it’s been six months since I made the Awesome Blogger Award (haha ok not really), I decided to make The Fall Tag!! It’s this fantastic little tag where everyone answers the same 10 questions, then passes it on to all the other fall-loving bloggers they know. xx If you’d like to participate in this tag, comment ‘Tag me!’ down below, and you’re in!

Let’s get right into this!

The Fall Tag

Rules:

  • Put the tag badge and rules in your post.
  • Answer the 10 fall-related questions.
  • Tag at least 5 other bloggers to join in the fun!

  1. What’s your favorite fall outfit? I love pairing my crimson red tee with jeans and a blue and red plaid shirt tied around my waist. It makes me feel so festive!
  2. What is fall weather like where you live? Starting in late September and lasting until around mid-November, the air turns very crisp here in Georgia, and the leaves change to beautiful fall colors (red, orange, yellow, gold). It doesn’t rain very often in the fall (we had a bad drought last year!), but our bitter and rainy winters usually make up for that, haha.
  3. Your favorite drink to have in the fall? My year-round go-to is any caramel-flavored coffee drink. If I’m feeling really chilly, I’ll get it made hot, but I almost always prefer iced drinks!
  4. Does your family have any fall traditions? If so, what are they? We get out all of our fall decor on October 1st, which I absolutely love because seasonal decorations make me so happy!
  5. What are some activities and events you enjoy going to in the fall months? We go apple-picking most years, and even if we don’t manage to do that, we love going to state parks. In Georgia, it’s too cold in winter and too humid in the warm months to really do anything out-of-doors, so we honestly spend most of our falls outside.
  6. What’s your favorite fall-scented candle? ‘Pumpkin Spice.’ A classic!
  7. Tell us about one of your favorite fall memories. Last year, I went up to Jasper, GA with my family. We were on our way to a new farm we’d found online, but we stopped there to eat lunch and explore the downtown area. I took lots of pictures of all the beautiful scenery there, and after we finished eating, we drove further through the mountains up to where the farm was. That scenic drive was a wonderful experience, save the period of time when my parents thought we were lost, haha! When we got to the farm, I went zip-lining with Joshua (my first time, and it was amazing!), bought some apples (we were there too late in the season to pick some ourselves), and just overall had fun exploring everything that farm had to offer!
  8. What are some fall movies you enjoy watching? Honestly, I don’t think there are any for me. ‘Love Comes Softly’ is a pretty fall-ish movie, and I do love that one!
  9. What’s your favorite fall treat? Apple pie!! Although I would happily have that one year-round haha
  10. If you celebrate Halloween, what is the best costume you’ve worn? I think that the one I wore these past couple of years (pirate) was the most creative! The dress I used was super authentic, and my mom helped braid thin strands of my hair, adding a few silver beads here and there, and a feather and wooden beads to a tendril in the front. I felt legit!

Blogging Challenge – Day 31: The Finale

Blogging Challenge – Day 31: The Finale

Ahh I can’t believe this blogging challenge has come to an end, guys! 😭

I had so much fun doing it; I met so many new people, and I got to learn more about all of you through it, too! I will definitely do another one in the future … I’m thinking about maybe a fall challenge. I love talking about all things fall! 😍🍂🍁

So, I wanted the last day of my posting about the challenge to be a little finale post, not the last, self-promotional prompt it had me do yesterday, lol. I’m going to talk about a few things relating to this challenge. If you’re interested, keep on reading!

Also, just so you guys know, I’m going to be off WordPress most of the day, as I have some different things I will be working on. I’ll do my best to respond to comments today, but it might be tomorrow. 💕

Enjoy!!

The May Blogging Challenge

Why I Loved This Challenge:

  • It taught me soooo much more about myself, as well as all the bloggers who participated in the comments! Isn’t it crazy how we can learn more about ourselves when prompted to do so? When we list what makes us happy, or think through our blogging goals, or what our favorite foods are … you’d think I’d already know that about myself, but it was cool to see it all written down!
  • It taught me to do a better job with blog post planning. Hahaha, I will admit that this was the hard way to learn this lesson, but it needed to be done. Don’t wait ’til the last minute to work on posts; have things ready well beforehand, when you can. However, don’t pressure yourself to write more posts than you’re capable of. #BlogComfortably
  • It gave me the chance to blog every day for a whole month! This was the best part of all. I met so many new people, got to put up a lot of awesome content, and was able to blog for 30 consecutive days!! What!! It was awesome.

A Message to My Fellow Challenge Buddies:

Cheila and Angela both decided to do this challenge right along with me, which was such an exciting experience! I had no idea that anyone else would want to join me, so it was such a nice surprise. Girls, I loved reading your interpretations of the prompts, as well as getting to learn more about you! If we ever get the chance to do something like this again, I would absolutely love to. ❤

If you guys haven’t visited their blogs before, please do!! They both blog daily, and they have a whole variety of different posts across their blogs. 🙂

My Top 5 Favorite Prompts from The Challenge:

Thank you sooo much for following along on this challenge! It was a great experience. ❤

Blogging Challenge – Day 30: Where Else You Can Find Me Online

Blogging Challenge – Day 30: Where Else You Can Find Me Online

For the very last prompt of this challenge (I’m doing the finale tomorrow, as May has 31 days, not thirty haha), I am going to give you guys links to where else you can find me online. I’m not in very many places online anymore, haha, at least not actively, but this can still be a helpful resource for anyone who’d like to follow me elsewhere!

You can read about what this challenge is here. And make sure to check out Cheila’s and Angela’s posts for today, too – we’re all doing the challenge together!

Where Else You Can Find Me Online

YouTube. I mainly watch others’ videos on this account lol, but I also have some photo editing tutorials up, as well as a few gaming videos that I did with my brother, Joshua!

Twitter. I’ve had this account for maybe a year and a half, but I only just got back to posting (erm, excuse me – tweeting) on it! I like linking to [most of] my recent posts shortly after publishing them, as well as finding GIFs that go along with how I’m feeling currently, haha!

Pinterest. I’ve had various accounts on this awesome website/app over the years. On my current account, I love pinning new recipes to try, inspirational quotes, funny memes/jokes/roasts, missionary quotes/photos, and beautiful photography. #dreamin

I can be reached through all three of these platforms, as well as right here on my blog! I love meeting new people, and I’m always up for following back on all websites. Another way you can contact me is on my Contact page (haha), or directly through my email: dreamingofguatemala@yahoo.com !

Thanks for reading, guys!
