Exciting Changes Coming to Dreaming of Guatemala in 2020!

Hello! I hope you’re doing well πŸ™‚ I wanted to pop in here today and let you guys know that I’m really excited about coming back to posting on Dreaming of Guatemala very soon! Even though I would love to participate in writing posts for Blogmas or sharing festive content this month, I’m really at a blogging turning point right now (as well as in my real life), and I don’t want to rush into anything. Trying to blog for December and plan for exciting stuff in January would be too much – even for me, Madame Multitasker. XD

Anyway, I can really feel the Lord showing me to take this step in trusting Him, in trying new things, in being willing to exhibit patience and take steps forward without moving too fast … needless to say, I’ve learned a lot. And I still have a lot more to learn! 2019 was quite possibly the most eventful year for me in terms of growing as a person, and while it may have had many rocky moments, I wouldn’t go back and change any of it for the world.

We learn through what we go through when we’re willing to take a step back and look at the big picture and really hone in on the wisdom we can gain from our experiences.

I wanted to give you this heads-update (haha) for two reasons: I don’t want to pop up out of nowhere on January 1st of next year and give you a good New Years’ scare (haha again), and I’m so excited about these awesome changes that I can’t keep quiet! πŸ˜€

I’d deeply appreciate your prayers and support while I update the way I blog on Dreaming of Guatemala, change the way I write posts on The Expressive Life, and honestly get to the point where I’m able to forgive myself for my sporadic blogging record. Right now, I’d love to be able to say something like “I’ve been blogging consistently for three full years now,” but I can’t say that and it really gets to me because I “could” have been, you know? But life happens, and I gave myself room to get comfortable again instead of forcing myself to enjoy a hobby I needed space from. I really want to be able to see that those blogging breaks were good for me, and that those times off have provided me with even more of a reason why I would love to come back now.

I’ll see all of you very soon! In the meantime, let me know in the comments: how’s life been recently? πŸ˜€ Are you excited for Christmas? I am! Haha ❀ Are you stoked about 2020? I’m really looking forward to continuing to learn in the next twelve months ahead of us.

*grins* See you around.

❀ haha yup! You're either posting "too much," "too little"…I guess I thought it was a science, but it's not. It's messy and creative, but that's what makes it beautiful!
Aw thanks! πŸ˜€ ❀

I’m so glad you are working on a balance! I am, too. A lot of times I felt like I couldn’t keep up with reading everyone’s posts, and I realized I just need to cut back on the amount I attempt to read for everyone. Most of my readers do not read every post, and even though I’ve been saying this for years to myself, I still felt obligated…and then it was overwhelming, and I withdrew…and people kept writing (as they should xD) and yikes! So, this year, I’m working on that. πŸ™‚

Me too! Yeah, there are a lot of bloggers so that can get crazy, lol. When I get behind on reading others’ posts, I’ll go back and see what they’ve been writing about since I was gone and get caught up on the posts I’m interested in. It’s a balance, for sure!
