Family Adventures | Part One

I have been spending a lot of time recently doing fun activities and going on fun adventures with my family! As the weather here in Georgia has started to cool off (which has also brought some rain along with it), we’ve been doing things outside to heartily welcome the beginning of fall. I shared some playground photography in this post, and in today’s post, I’ll share some recent photos I took with my family members.

I actually took this picture with Samuel at the end of September, but I hadn’t shared it on here yet! That was when he and I went to our favorite library and I spent time reading books to him. We had a blast! The different books we picked out to read ended up having hilarious storylines and illustrations, so we were laughing a lot while I read.

Last week, I got to go somewhere with just me and Elizabeth for the first time in a long time! We went to our favorite grocery store – Ingles – and had fun shopping together.

I think the sun was in her eyes for that photo. I was so glad that she enjoyed going out with me!

Also last week, I went biking with Joshua on our personal favorite biking trails! He rode his penny board, so really, I was the only one biking, haha. Either way, we had fun! The weather was perfect, since we went in the morning before the day had reached the high temperatures, and we had a great time. I tried out skateboarding for the first time in forever, which I didn’t get a picture of, but that was a cool experience. I didn’t get going too fast since my balance isn’t the greatest, but I was glad that I tried it out! While we were there, we also ran into an old family friend, and it was awesome getting to see her again!

Weather-permitting, we’ve all been spending a lot of time outside on the front porch, which has been great! I mainly just watch my little siblings play in the sand, but I’ve also enjoyed finding activities to do with them in it. For example, when some sand had been dumped out on one of the rugs, I smoothed it over and began practicing letters with Elizabeth, which she got a kick out of. I got really excited when she drew different letters with me!

On Saturday, my mom and I got to go on a mother-daughter outing! It’s been quite a while since we did something like this, and we both really enjoyed it. We went thrift-shopping, clothing store-shopping, and then out to lunch at our favorite pizza place. I didn’t even end up buying that much, but I loved browsing all of the stores, and my mom ended up finding a lot of good deals for our family at the thrift stores!

Thanks so much for reading! Let me know what you’ve been up to recently in the comments below. 🙂 ❤
