Walk In His Ways

Walk In His Ways

Hello! I hope you’re doing well. 😊❀️ Happy Sunday to you! Over a year ago, I shared a new type of inspirational post that I really enjoyed writing (see here), but I ended up dropping the series for reasons unknown. lol However, I decided to pick it back up again because I have some Bible verses I’d love to share with you!

To bring this series back, I want to start at the beginning of Psalm 119. This chapter is full of so much wisdom, and I always love reading through it! I’m thinking about sharing one verse from it every Sunday for a while – in fact, if I go through the entire chapter, that would be more than three years’ worth of Sunday posts. πŸ˜πŸ’œ Wouldn’t that be awesome?! haha

Alright, enough about what I might do – let’s focus now on what I’m doing today. πŸ˜‰ Here’s the first verse!

Psalm 119:1

“Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied)
are the undefiled (the upright, truly sincere, and blameless)
in the way [of the revealed will of God],
who walk (order their conduct and conversation)
in the law of the Lord (the whole of God’s revealed will).”

Two beautiful things stand out to me from this verse. One, it says that blessed are they who order their conversation by the Lord’s will! It is so very important to put thought into what we spend time talking about, both for our well-being and for those who are listening to us. Remember, blogging is a form of talking (since we’re communicating with others), so I’d like to encourage you to be purposeful and intentional about the blog posts you share. ❀

The second thing I love about this verse is that the writer describes the law of the Lord as the whole of God’s revealed will.

When we follow Him and trust that He’s leading us, we don’t have to have the whole picture to move forward.

A huge part of trusting Him is acknowledging that He knows it all, and that’s why we can trust Him! He knows the necessary knowledge He needs to give us in order for us to obey Him.

There may be times when He asks us to do something even when we feel like we don’t have everything we need to make that move. However, I’m challenging you today to step out on the water – be willing to place your trust in your Heavenly Father, knowing full well that He won’t allow you to plunge into the waves.

He’s got this. He’s got YOU. ❀

I’m praying that you have a beautiful rest of the weekend! πŸ™‚

  2. Maggie I am so thankful for this post! It has encouraged me since I’m going through a transition and having to trust God. I don’t have all the answers but I know He wants me to take one step at a time as He leads me. He already knows everything that is up the road. ❀️✝️

  3. Amen, very important we are aware of what we speak and you’re right blogging is a way of speaking! Usually, when I edit I have to take out the parts I got a little sassy in, haha!
