Hello! I hope you’re having a beautiful weekend. ❤ Today, I bring to you another Spotlight Saturday post! I enjoyed getting to chat with this dear blogging friend of mine.
My words are in italics, and hers are in bold.
Spotlight Saturday #27
Hi everyone! Today, I’m happy to bring you a new Spotlight Saturday interview. 😊☀️ I have the chance to chat with a lovely blogger I know, who is the owner of one of the prettiest lifestyle blogs I’ve ever seen! Meet Christina from Christina and Camera!
Hey, guys! When Maggie invited me to join her for Spotlight Saturday, I was so excited! Like she said, I’m Christina from Christina and Camera. I’ve been blogging for over two years now and I love it!
Thanks for being with us, Christina! My first question for you is: what are your main hobbies and interests?
Well, obviously blogging, but if I have extra time you’ll catch me reading (all. the. books.) or writing (yeah let’s be honest I haven’t been doing much of that lately… I’m still recovering from camp nano). Or maybe photography – I want to start a business for that soon 🙂
That’s cool! Ooh a photography business sounds awesome 🙂 So, what’s a book you read recently that you really enjoyed? And why did you like it so much?
Hmm, maybe that would be the Christy Miller series by Robin Jones Gunn? There were some parts I didn’t love but I really enjoyed seeing Christy’s faith grow over more than ten years! I also enjoyed reading the other related series in the pov of Sierra and Katie, some of Christy’s closest friends. Plus her name is pretty awesome too!
Oh awesome! I loved reading that series – I’ve read it twice through actually, haha. Okay, here’s my next question: why did you decide to start blogging?
I had been reading doll blogs religiously for a couple months, and I decided I wanted to start my own! Then I decided to do a lifestyle blog instead because I didn’t really love doll blogging 🙂
Haha that’s cool! I love your lifestyle blog, but I’ve read some awesome doll blogs before, too. 😊💕 My next question for you is: what are some tips you’d give new bloggers?
Thank you! Me too 🙂 I think the #1 thing (actually, two), would be: don’t worry or even care about stats at the beginning – they seriously don’t matter! Obviously if you’re a professional they will, but you won’t be a professional for a while. And also, put out quality content that you’re proud of! Most bloggers cringe at their earliest posts, but you should put out posts that you would want to read!
You’re welcome! Those are some great tips 💖 Yes, stats really don’t matter at the beginning! And I agree, all of your posts (including the first several you do) should make you happy to look back on, even when you’re first starting out as a blogger. 😊 my next question is, what’s the first post you’d like for people who are new to your blog to read first?
Well, I’m hopefully going to put up a post called “50 things you might not know about me” soon and that would be perfect!
Ok awesome! I’ll link to it once it’s up 💜 Thank you so much for letting me interview you, Christina! I enjoyed chatting with you 😊 Is there anything else you’d like to say before we go?
hmmm – if you’re not already, subscribe to Maggie’s blog! Her posts are always super encouraging 🙂 And that’s it! Thank you so much for inviting me! *waves* buh-bye!
It would make both of us so happy if you dropped by her blog!
