Spotlight Saturday – Ariana from Ariana’s Archives

Hi there! I hope you’re having a great weekend. 🙂 This post really needs no introduction (as I explain what’s up in the first paragraph of the interview, haha), so I hope that you enjoy this post!

My words are in italics, and hers are in bold.

Spotlight Saturday #23

Hi guys! I’m very excited to bring back this series after a very long break: I’ll be doing Spotlight Saturday interviews once again! For our first interview of 2019, I’m excited to get to chat with a lovely blogger I’ve known for quite a while now. Today, we’ll get to learn more about Ariana from Ariana’s Archives!

Hello! 😁 As Maggie told you my name is Ariana Evans. At Ariana’s Archives I blog about bettering your self, faith, and more. I am a writer, photographer, and entrepreneur. And I would like to thank Maggie for this amazing opportunity.

Thank you for being here with us! My first question for you is: what are some of your favorite things to do in your free time now that we’ve entered summer?

I would have to say some of my favorite activities are the simple ones. Hanging out with family is a classic way to spend your summer, especially with no school in the way and longer days. I like spending nights on the porch. I recently did a series in May called 10 Things to do this Summer that appeared every Friday. And my best ideas are on those posts. Summer is also a great time to practice photography, write, and do more things with friends.

Ooh those all sound great! I loved reading your summer ideas in that series. 🙂 My next questions are: When did you make your blog, and why did you decide to start blogging?

Thank you, Maggie! Well, I started my blog about two and a half years ago. It feels like longer, I must say. I started blogging to teach, learn, and have fun. I wanted to bring together a community of people in the blogging world; I feel like I have accomplished that. I wanted to teach/learn from people and to people because I feel like there isn’t enough of the hard truth going around, or self-help either. I wanted to be a light for God. 🙂

Those are all wonderful reasons to blog! I’ve always loved how diverse the topics you write about are – there’s an awesome variety in your content! Oh, we’ve been blogging for about the same amount of time then – that’s cool. 🙂 Here’s my next question: what advice do you have for other (possibly new) bloggers who are trying to decide on what they should blog about themselves?

Aw, thank you! Your blog/you are an inspiration to me. ❤️ When I was a new blogger I had a lot of inspiration from my own personal experiences. For new bloggers, I would say channel your experiences and wisdom from those you trust. It may be hard to put yourself out there a little bit, but I would. It makes a connection. Talk about your life, give updates, ask questions about them {your followers} and make a community.

You’re welcome, and thank you so much! ❤ Those are great tips! 🙂 I definitely recommend that, as well. Sharing inspiration from your life allows your readers to really connect with you and relate! My next question is: which three posts of yours would you recommend to a new follower if they’d like to learn more about you?

You’re welcome! And thanks, I hope so, haha. The three posts I would say that would help new people get to know me are My Side of Blogging {A Blogger’s Perspective}here, and here. And I’m sure I could come up with more!

I’ll have to go check out those posts myself! Thanks for sharing them 🙂 My last question for you is: if people were to take away one important lesson from your blog, what would you want it to be?

I would say to stand up for what you believe in. I have stood up for my faith, beliefs, and I want everyone to do the same. I think it’s apart of growing up and realizing who you are.

You’re welcome! That’s a great takeaway ❤️ Thank you so much for letting me interview you, Ariana! Is there anything else you’d like to say before we go?

The only other thing I would like to say is to Maggie! For letting me do this, it was awesome! Goodbye!!

Thank you so much for reading this interview!
It would make me and Ariana so happy if you would go visit Ariana’s Archives for yourself.
