This past weekend, I was able to go on two enjoyable outings with my little brother, Samuel! It had been a while since we’d done anything like this together, and we both had a great time. I was extremely thankful for the nice weather, which allowed us to enjoy being outside a bit more before summer hits Georgia full force. haha
On Saturday, we went to a nature reserve! We enjoyed looking at the farm animals in one of the exhibits. Samuel thought it was especially funny that this one goat (see top right) was leaning up against the fence, because his fur was sticking out between the openings.
A friendly donkey greeted us (see top right), and Samuel and I loved seeing all of the macaws in another exhibit! Sadly, I couldn’t get any good pictures of them because they were too far away. I’ll have to bring my camera next time since it has a great zoom feature.
On Sunday, we went to Six Flags Over Georgia! That morning, I had seen that the weather was going to be overcast, which was awesome because then it wouldn’t get too hot. However, when we got to the park, it was sprinkling, and I was quite nervous that most of the rides would have to shut down due to inclement weather. Thankfully, once we had gotten our tickets and passed through the main gate, it stopped raining! Samuel enjoyed riding many of the kid and family rides (some of which I rode with him), and we also had fun looking around the souvenir shops.
For lunch, we both had pizza! One of the last rides we did is the one pictured above (bottom left), which is where Samuel conquered his fear of heights! He wasn’t sure if he’d enjoy riding it, and at first, he didn’t want to do it, but he eventually decided to give it a chance. I’m so glad he did, because it ended up being his favorite ride! He rode it four times while I stood there and watched, haha. I don’t like the feeling of dropping (which is all the ride does – up and down, lol), so I let him enjoy it for me.
I’m so glad he and I had a great weekend! I really hope we can do more things like this together soon. ❤
