Desk Tour {February 2019}

“Your home should tell the story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love.” – Nate Berkus

The last desk tour post I shared was posted in June of last year. That was far too long ago! In this updated desk tour, I’ve shared my work and living space with you, showcased in some of my fine photography.

Desk Tour {February 2019}

It doesn’t matter how I decorate my desk; it always ends up looking cozy, haha! To create this space, I pulled together some simple decor I’ve had for months, then paired them with my world map board which I got from Michael’s last summer. The Bible verse calendar and my little Chromebook are both from Amazon (which is the best place to buy stuff!).

(Also, for all the pictures [practically all of them] in this post that were taken at a weird angle: blame the lighting in my room. I didn’t want my creepy shadows looming over the desk haha)

I found this organizational box at Michael’s recently, and I adore it!! It effectively sorts and displays all the things I use and come back to on a regular basis. As you can see, I haven’t exactly filled it to the brim yet, which is fine with me because it may clutter the look of my desk.

My ‘Dream Big’ block has been in my room since my very first desk tour! (Has it really been two years?) The cute plant is from Michael’s, as well (boy, did I get everything in my room from there?), and I’ll show you the little candle in the photo below.

I don’t know what the weird lighting’s about, but I found this candle at TJMaxx recently and I adore the scent! I ended up buying two of the same candle, I love it that much, haha

It wouldn’t be one of my desk tours without once again sharing my Guatemalan blanket! I feel like it just gets prettier the more pictures I take of it XD

This little guy didn’t appear in the rest of the tour, but I just had to quickly share him! I got him on the day I got my glasses (click here to read about that experience!), because he is such a cute addition to my desk setup. Now, onto the bonus tour …

I bought myself one of those beautiful craft carts! (I’m not exactly keeping anything crafty in it, but I think they’re pretty versatile haha) Having another way to display my hobbies and the things I’m passionate about is so much nicer than having them tucked away in my closet or desk drawers.

On the top shelf, I have my ASL dictionary, binder, and workbook (I’m currently taking a course to learn more ASL!); various things I need to organize and/or start using (lol); and my CD collection. (You may be wondering, can four CDs really make up a collection? Yes, they can haha)

On the middle shelf, I have a spare binder; all the notebooks I’ve purchased over the years but have yet to finish (or START) writing in; a few books I’m currently reading; and a candle.

On the bottom shelf, I have my various art supplies, my ‘laugh often’ plate, and the extra candle. I’m currently trying my hand a calligraphy (and it’s going very well!).

Thank you sooo much for reading! I hope you enjoyed taking a little virtual tour of my room (:

  1. Your workspace is so pretty!! Way to keep it organized, you should see my desk😳 Omw the Guatemalan blanket is gorgeous! I love the bright colors. The craft cart looks so handy, although I’m pretty sure I would just use it to accumulate more stuff 😂 Ooh good luck with the handlettering! <–I love doing it! When I was first loading stuff onto my cart, I was literally thinking I needed new stuff so that I could fill it, hahaha! That wasn't good xD Thank you!

  2. Oh my gosh, your desk area is so beautiful! I have nothing on or surrounding my desk, haha. But now I have a sudden urge to go and decorate it xD. I loveee the blanket! I’m an MK in Ecuador so I have like a million alpaca blankets in my room, haha. And mannn I want one of those carts! I actually might by one to put the mountain of art junk laying in my closet xD.

  3. I swear, every time you do a desk tour, it gets prettier! *dies* lovely, lovely, lovey! 😀 Seriously, it’s beautifully aesthetic and me likes aesthetic… even if I’m the exact opposite of. XD
    Also, you like handlettering too? 😀 Nice!

  5. You have such awesome things for your desk, and I love that green craft cart thing. I’ve been trying to find another shelving/draw unit type thing, just a small-ish one to go by the side of my desk maybe, but I can’t find anything I like enough to spend the money I’m (I’m so stingy with my pennies!) The mini plant pot is cute 🙂
    Caz xx
