Hi there! ❤ I hope you’re having a fantastic day. 🙂 Last week, I got caught up on getting all the pictures that I’ve taken this year printed, which I’m really happy about! I’ve always been one to have backups of everything digital, just in the event that any files, systems, etc. ever become corrupted, so I breathe a sigh of relief every time I’m able to get these special moments printed on paper.
How I Get Digital Pictures Printed
I have four photo boxes, which I’ve purchased from Hobby Lobby and Michael’s over the years, on my bookshelf. Initially, I had all of my pictures organized in photo albums, but I found that I much prefer the selection of pretty photo boxes over the albums that stores carry.
For a while, I had all the pictures from each year randomly sorted and piled in each box, but I have just now started organizing them into two stacks per box.
What I love about having the photos like this instead of them being in photo albums is that I can pick up one of these stacks whenever I’d like and flip through those memories. It’s much more fun to have the ability to hold them individually instead of them being fixed within the pages of albums. (It’s a personal preference, really!)
For the past several years, my mom and I have been getting our family’s pictures printed through Walgreens.com. I wanted to give you a bit of an overview on how we do this! (This is not in any way sponsored, by the way. haha)
First, you go on to the website and log in, then you can begin uploading photos from your computer to a new album. Once you’ve uploaded all the ones you’re wanting to purchase (if you have a computer that runs even fairly decently, it doesn’t take long), then select to ‘Order Prints’ (they make it easy to navigate!). The next page it brings you to allows you to choose which sizes you want for which pictures. This is also a good time to check for any duplicates, because I had to remove 10-12 photos that decided to have twins. xP
From there, the website will lead you through how to checkout. Shipping prices aren’t bad at all, and what really makes this website amazing is when you buy lots of photos during a sale! I’m always buying pictures either when they have a 40%- or 50% off sale, and as a matter of fact, they still have one going on right now! The whole website is half-off on all prints through October 27th (Saturday).
Alright, now that I’ve told you all about how I get pictures printed, I have two fun, exciting projects to share! 😀
New Wall Decor
One of my closest friends, Oxria, has a beautiful online shop on her blog! I fell in love with her artwork from the first time I saw it, and my adoration for her style, color palette choices, etc. has only strengthened with the more art she’s showcased on her shop. (I’m probably her biggest fan. haha)
After buying a few designs from her website, I knew that I’d need to get them professionally printed, because just printing them from home wouldn’t provide the clarity I like for my wall art. I finally did this last week, and now I have them up in my room!
*squeals* Aren’t they pretty??!! I think they go so well together! ❤
This picture shows where they are in my room. My closet has needed a bit of livening-up for a while now, and Oxria’s art does just that!
The second bit of decor I mentioned is the beautiful wall-hanging I have placed above my bed. ❤
Life in a family of seven has never been easy. In fact, few things about our lives are easy, but that’s not what I’m here to talk about today. 😉 I tend to get so caught up in how stressed I’m feeling about the oddities of day-to-day life that I forget that the Lord has blessed me with not just one sister, but TWO! This wall-hanging reminds me, every time I walk in my room, what beautiful blessings they are from the Lord. This is a time in my life that I never want to forget. ❤ ❤ ❤
Thank you so much for reading! I loved getting to write about how I order pictures, as well as sharing the beautiful decor I’ve added to my room.
I hope you have a lovely day!
