Hi there! ❤ I hope you’re having a beautiful day. 🙂 For today’s post, I have a fun list to share with you! Recently, I was thinking about sharing some of the European countries I’d love to visit someday, and for this post (it may become a series, haha), I’m sharing the first six that came to mind!
I had a lot of fun getting the pictures from Unsplash for this post. ❤ I get so excited when I see pictures from some of the most beautiful places around the world. I hope you enjoy!
Note: If any of the pictures in this post weren’t actually taken in the countries I mention, I’m sincerely sorry! xD For some of them, I’m trusting the tag I found them under on Unsplash. I just chose these photos to serve the purpose of representing these six countries, even if they’re not legitimate. lol
6 Countries I’d Love To Visit
ITALY. I included two pictures of Italy (the featured image, as well as the one above) because it makes me that happy! The architecture, the food, the people, the language, the scenery … while I’ve watched plenty of movies and documentaries on Italy, I know that experiencing a week or two in the city for myself would be a dream come true. (As a matter of fact, visiting all of the destinations in this post would!)
IRELAND. When I’ve been asked the question: “If you could visit one place in the world, where would you go?”, my answer has always been Ireland! Aside from the chronically dreary weather (haha), there’s nothing else I dislike about this country. I NEED to go there and take photos of the countryside, beaches, and landscapes, and I’d love to spend time with the people of Ireland, as well. (ALSO their music is perfect. I’m serious. Celtic music rocks!)
ROMANIA. You may already know this, but I have a lovely friend named Oxria who lives there! She has showcased, through various posts, the gorgeous architecture and landscapes of Romania, and I’m just dying to go there now. When/If I go to Europe, this country is definitely in the top three on my list!
GREECE. My maternal ancestors (is that how you’d refer to it? haha) are Greek, so I feel deeply connected to this country! Aside from the fact that I’m a tiny bit Greek, I love Greece’s culture and architecture. Countries tend to have a main color scheme for what the people wear, how they paint their buildings, etc., and the fact that BLUE and WHITE is Greece’s makes the country a gorgeous seaside vibes country!
UNITED KINGDOM. I know this destination is on everyone’s list, but the only reason it’s on mine is because there are different lesser-known museums and architectural pieces that are definitely worth seeing in person! From the apartment complex used in the filming of the Poirot TV show (aka, my favorite series haha) to different Shakespearean theatres, I need to go there – it’s a must.
GERMANY. My dad’s ancestors were from Germany! I have much more German in me than I do Greek, so I’m extremely interested in visiting this country. Even though the German language is pretty difficult to learn, I simply love their accent and would definitely be interested in becoming fluent in the language someday! While there’s a lot of negativity linked to Germany’s history, I don’t think that fact alone should sway someone from visiting. This is coming from a person who was legitimately scared of the country as a kid because I knew what happened there in the 1940’s … but now I’ve learned that there’s SO much more to a place than just what people usually hear about it. (Take the state of Georgia, for example. We’re the ‘peach state,’ right? Yet I’ve never had a Georgia peach. XD All of the peaches in our stores are from California!)
Thank you so much for reading! I had a lot of fun talking about these six beautiful countries – if it’s the Lord’s will for my life, it would make me extremely happy to visit them for myself. 🙂 ❤
