June 2018 Desk Tour

Hi there! I hope you’re having a beautiful day! ❤ This post is one that I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time now. I had to get everything just right to do so – and believe me, that took weeks, haha! Today I present to you my summer ’18 desk tour!

Before I get into sharing the pictures and giving you the full tour, however, I have a very exciting announcement to make.

I’m hosting my first giveaway!

Oxria is an extremely friendly and creative girl I met on WordPress last year! We’re both lifestyle bloggers, and we both have a love for digital art. Ever since I found her blog, I’ve been completely impressed by her artwork – they’re uniquely designed, beautifully hand-drawn, and absolutely adorable!

When she opened a shop on her blog for others to buy printables of her art, I was ecstatic!I bought a few of them for myself, and I am highly satisfied with the ease of purchasing, as well as getting to print them quickly from home!

I have teamed up with Oxria to bring you a
DIGITAL ARTWORK GIVEAWAY!
One lucky winner will get
one free printable of their choice
from Oxria’s shop!

All you have to do to enter is: 1) make sure you’re following my blog and her blog; 2) include “I’m in!” in your comment, and 3) tell us the name of your favorite artwork of hers!

Oxria will be in contact with the winner once they are announced! This giveaway is open from Thursday, June 28th, 2018 at 9:15 AM EST to Thursday, July 5th, 2018 at 12:00 AM EST. It is open to all ages, is open to everyone worldwide, and there is only one entry allowed per person! The winner will be announced in a post on my blog on Thursday, July 5th, 2018 at 9:15 AM EST.

Alright, now onto my desk tour! I’m so excited to share it with you! ❤

June 2018 Desk Tour

I have been hard at work these last few weeks making everything just right for my desk setup! It took a lot of switching decor around and moving the desk itself before I was finally happy with it. I really enjoyed taking the pictures of it this morning! (While writing this post last night, I took the photos too late in the day, and there wasn’t any natural lighting left so they didn’t turn out, haha)

Ta-daaa! I love how bright and cheery it looks in the morning! ❤ The look I was going for this time incorporated more natural colors (tans and black), as well as tying in all the other various colors the decor has. I adore the finished look!

For the past month or so, I didn’t have a finished space to be able to sit down and write at. I’m truly thankful I have one again now!

I’m happy to tell you about where I got everything!

This artwork, which sits just behind my beloved ‘Dream Big‘ sign and a succulent candle my mom gave me, is none other than Oxria‘s drawing! I was very happy to be able to buy it from her shop, and I put it in a pretty and simple frame from Michael’s. I chose the right size for printing it so that it would fit in this frame, which was very easy to do from my computer. The colors printed extremely well, and the pale green really goes with my decor!

My dad bought this laptop for me last month, and it has been a definite upgrade from the Chromebook I got last fall! The only downside to it is that it runs slower than my first laptop. However, I’d prefer this over there being no security system whatsoever, haha! The decals I moved from my old laptop to this one really inspire me, and I think they’re adorable, as well.

I love that I’m getting to once again feature my gorgeous Guatemalan blanket on my blog! The first time I featured it was last January in my first desk tour post, and since then, it has continued to add a variety of colors to my desk, along with a cultural vibe that I can’t get enough of.

This little corner, which is right behind where I keep my computer mouse, has three accents that I adore! My ‘Be still and know‘ sign is a constant, much-needed reminder to myself that I need to read every day; the ‘Home Sweet Home‘ Georgia coaster was an amazingly thoughtful gift from my mom at the graduation party because no matter where I travel, Georgia will always be my home!; and my trusty whale mug houses all of my hair accessories, which I use every day, haha.

On the top of my favorite writing utensils box, I currently have the two cards I received at my graduation! The one on the left (which is a beautiful reminder to me ❤ ) is from my parents, and the one on the right is from Samuel, which I love because he picked it out for me!

Yes, I have incorporated the fact that I’ve graduated into my current setup, haha! I love it! The little cap banner is adorable, and it perfectly goes with the ‘congrats grad!‘ sign my mom had up on our front door last week. I don’t know how long I’ll keep up these pieces of decor, but for now, I love them!

The other wall decor pictured above is my favorite cacti art, as well as the Robin Williams quote, which I also read every day. ❤

I got this calendar at Walmart back in January, and I love the nature photography and verses is displays every month! Since I really like the colors of the next few months’ photos, I made it part of my desk decor as it goes with everything, haha.

Thank you so much for coming by my blog today! I loved getting to share these pictures of my desk with you. I hope you’ll enter the giveaway, because I know you won’t be disappointed by Oxria’s beautiful art!

Have a beautiful day!

— Maggie
