My Focuses For The Summer

Hi there! Happy Friday to you! ❀ I hope you’re having a great weekend. πŸ™‚ As the days have grown warmer here in Georgia, I have gradually began thinking more and more about how I’d like to spend the summer months. Living in the South means that our summer lasts usually from early May to late September, haha, so you can imagine why I absolutely love October!

Since I usually tend to spend the most time indoors in our hotter months (the humidity kills me lol), I am coming up with ways to spend this time wisely. Sitting around and blogging the whole summer away is tempting, but would definitely not be the smartest way to spend my time, haha! Because of this, I have come up with a list of several, productive things I want to do over the following months.

While I’m always tempted to come up with a concise to-do list, it never works – there are always tasks I’m unable to complete. This means that I’m dissatisfied with what I was able to do, even though I got a lot done! For the sake of my sanity, I came up with main focuses and will then break them down into steps, doing them daily instead of trying to check things off. I’m excited to begin!

I was inspired to make a summer bucket list of sorts by Sydney over at The Weekly Adventurer! Her posts are always fantastic, and this one especially had me motivated to make my own list. I hope you enjoy reading!

being with my family, everything the summer has to offer —

  1. I am expecting a little one/a possible move this fall or winter. I’m not sure which. I live in Washington in the Pacific Northwest right now. So my goals are to do as many outdoorsy things as we can. Enjoy the beauty and go on trips together to make lasting memories. It is very beautiful here and also in Oregon!! It rains all year but the summers are to die for. I want to get out and see everything. I also want to start writing a lot of positive things for myself and others. I did not use this blog for a long time because I feel like it is hard to stay confident and be patient about gaining a community to be a part of. But I am so excited to do good things! I love your list. I just got a camera for my birthday this June too! I also need to learn more about my settings. I’m kind of just going with the flow but I’ve taken great pictures!!! It takes a loooot of time and effort, but I can't tell you how rewarding it is to have built a community! I know you'll get there, so I'm glad you returned to blogging. Thank you! and that's awesome!   2. Well… I am hoping to spend the summer (and in fact the next couple semesters) NOT freaking out about future stuff and instead preparing for it. Easier said than done though. But aside from that, hopefully continuing getting up early enough to go running, and also gardening. And spending more time with my friends because as much as I love them, I sometimes go too long without seeing them and I really do want to be a good friend.
