Summer OOTD – Pink Hues/Casual

Summer OOTD – Pink Hues/Casual

Hi there!! Happy Thursday to you! ❀ I have a very exciting post to share with you today πŸ™‚ The last ‘outfit of the day’ post I did was back in November, haha, because I absolutely love fall fashion! However, I have been putting together some outfits lately for the warmer months that I’d love to post about on my blog, as well.

Today’s outfit is a beautiful combination of my favorite newest additions to my wardrobe! Bonus points for it being something I can wear on the hottest day in Georgia, haha πŸ™‚ It has light colors, is fashionable, and can be worn most of the places I go! I hope you enjoy today’s post! ❀

As a quick side note, this is the first post I’ve ever done where all of the pictures are unfiltered. For years, I’ve loved brightening my photography with better lighting and enhancing the color of the photos. However, while looking at the pictures my mom took for me at this photoshoot, I saw that they’re perfect just the way they are!

Summer OOTD – Pink Hues/Casual

This is the perfect outfit to visit the library in, or even run around the playground in with my younger siblings, lol! Nine out of ten of every ensemble I throw together is comfortable and easy to get around in because being a big sister has its responsibilities. It would be impossible for me to wear prettier footwear or formal shirts when chasing them around xD

I was really enjoying hanging out in the shade of this tree, haha, because direct sunlight in Georgia gets hot really fast!

I got my sunglasses from Loft. After finding multiple clothing pieces and accessories at thrift stores by this beautiful brand, I recently visited our local outlet store for the first time and I fell in love! While I definitely won’t be shopping there all the time, it’s a fun place to look around. πŸ™‚ These glasses, while sporting wider lenses than I’d prefer, are extremely comfortable and I love the color of the frames!

My purse is also from Loft, but I found it at a local thrift store! It was an absolute steal, being in perfect condition when I got it, and it fits everything I need to have on me while we’re out. The color goes with all of my clothes, and it’s a nice material, too! (If you’re wondering, I only paid $2 for it haha)

There’s a fun story behind this picture – I had matching acne on both sides of my jaw, so the position of my hand in this photo conveniently covered the left side, haha!

I also got my t-shirt at Loft. I adore the color, and it’s such a great fit! I also have a matching one in dark gray, which I’ll eventually feature in another outfit post.

My jean shorts are the Faded Glory (Walmart) brand, but I got them at a local thrift store, as well. If I could only find this exact same kind at stores now, I’d totally stock up on them!

I found my favorite necklace at Earthbound. It’s definitely my favorite place to shop at a mall my family and I go to at least once a year! When I found this piece in the jewelry section, I quickly bought it because of my love for maps – and it’s so dainty! (You can check out Earthbound’s website here!)

Here is the newest addition to my wardrobe! These are my new pair of Nikes, which I got at Famous Footwear. I had been meaning to buy them for about a month now, because there was a problem with ordering them online (they never shipped lol), so my mom kindly took me to a local store last week and I was able to buy my size. For some reason, I’ve really been enjoying pink tones lately, especially in my wardrobe. I’m considering decorating my new room with this girly color, as well!

The next pictures I have to share are definitely the silliest ones.

My mom did this photoshoot for me after I’d already been walking around the playground with Elizabeth, so I’d been out in the sun for some time by that point. I don’t do well in the southern heat, haha, so I was wanting to express that the sun and humidity wasn’t doing me any good! However, I wasn’t too sweaty to take the photos for this post πŸ™‚

Me laughing about my silly faces, haha

My mom had to go and take care of my little sisters at this point, so I took a few selfies (including the featured image)! This one is just another shot of my world map necklace, which I love so much.

My hairstyle is courtesy of Goody Hair Ties! This past winter, I bought a new pack of them from Walmart to hopefully find the kind that would work best for my hair (I break AT LeAsT one hair tie a week, haha), and oh my gosh! These have absolutely saved my life! Their official name is Goody SlideProof Hair Tie Elastics, and they have made it possible for me to sport the high ponytail look, which I’ve always loved. You can go buy yourself some here if you have thick hair like I do! (Not sponsored.)

I hope you enjoyed this OOTD! I know how much I love this look, and I can’t wait to wear it again and again throughout the summer. ❀ Thanks so much for reading! Let me know in the comments below:

What was YOUR favorite part of the outfit?

Happy Tuesday to you!

  1. Maggie!!! These pictures of you are my FAVORITE πŸ˜€ There is something breathtaking about being brave enough–in a world built on photoshop and comparison–to show yourself unabashed and being yourself, pretty and posed or goofy and hilarious ^-^ Thank you, thank you, thank you ❀ You may be younger than me, but you are accessing God's fullness of life via self-confidence in a way I am only beginning to grasp. I'm so proud of you girly!

  2. This makes me so happy because girl you are beaming of God’s grace! I know last year you opened up about not being comfortable sharing photos of yourself, and you are beautiful in all ways. I love your pairings because ONLY, I am SO slow at things, recently have I been getting into plain colors. Plain colors allow you to accessorize so much better and simplicity goes a long way.

I love your outfit and everything you paired it with. It is so together and wonderful! I always need suggestions for looks, and yours is great!

    1. Awww! Thank you ❀ Yes, it has been a journey of strengthening self-confidence, for sure. πŸ™‚ That's great! Yes, starting with the basics is essential, because then you'll slowly learn more about which designed pieces go together and compliment each other. Thank you so much!
