New Laptop + We’re Moving! | Little Life Updates

Hey there! Happy Thursday to you โค We are already approaching the weekend again, haha, so I hope you have some activities and/or events you’re looking forward to! ๐Ÿ˜‰ For today’s post, I am happy to share with you some little life updates. Some of them are actually pretty big lol, but I just love the title! The rest of them actually are little. please don’t take offense I hope you enjoy!

My dad updated my laptop! (See featured image.) This means that he just recently purchased a much better one for me to replace the Chromebook I had been using. While I did enjoy using it and the performance was phenomenal, there were security concerns as well as frustrating hardware limitations that definitely called for a replacement. This means that I am now writing my blog posts on a gorgeous new laptop, which I’m already growing to love … new flaws, and all! xD (My dad had to lead me through clean-ups and security scans to get it going smoothly.)

My family and I are in the process of moving. The house we’re currently at has been our home since the summer of 2015, and after three years of residing here, we are itching to get a move-on! For various reasons I really needn’t go into, I am thoroughly stoked that we’ll be living somewhere else very soon. Once the Lord provides a house for us, we’ll be on our way.

giving her tummy-time in my room.

Isabella is doing well. I haven’t talked about her much recently, but she is still a thriving little two-month-old whom I absolutely adore to pieces. Once she was out of the awkward newborn stage (I’m sorry, but every baby goes through it haha), I really started to get into capturing her beauty – although the hair-falling-out phase isn’t the prettiest, either. Oh, well – I still love you, girl!

I am finally going to get back into reading. Yup, you read that right! After months of thinking ‘I need to start reading more,’ I’m finally taking the plunge – and just in time! I visited the library again after taking a long break from browsing their shelves, and I found some awesome reads I can’t wait to delve into. There’s some fiction and some nonfiction, as well. I’ll be sure to share what I read once I’ve reached their endings!

The weather here in Georgia is fantastic right now. Aside from the pollen making my sensitivity act up from time to time, the warm weather and beautiful scenery we’ve recently been getting to experience has been so wonderful! From going horseback riding to letting the youngest ones enjoy visiting playgrounds, this has been a positive experience for all of us. (Now, if only we could find a way to get those wasps and carpenter bees away from our back door … )

Surgery is in my near future. My, this is a strange way to introduce the topic haha, but guys, I am in much discomfort! My wisdom teeth really do need to be taken out, even though I’d rather not have surgery. However, with the knowledge that they’re weakening my jaw and jumbling my teeth even closer together is a huge encouragement to go through with the surgery, haha! Plus, I know the Lord is always with me โค I would never be able to face any medical office without His constant presence and love ๐Ÿ™‚

I have some new post series ideas. One could follow along on our moving journey, and I think that would be fun because then I could update you guys as things happen! The other series would be inspiration from my own life, where I open up about common misconceptions, myths, and the pros and cons to different things about me. Do you think that would be interesting? For example, I could write about being homeschooled my entire childhood and teenage years, the reality of having long thick hair (because I think there are a lot of things people don’t realize about it lol), and so on.

Thank you so much for reading! I really hope you’re having a beautiful day ๐Ÿ™‚ I’d love to hear from you in the comments below!

What have YOU been up to lately?

Happy Thursday to you!

— Maggie

      1. They do. However, our one neighbor is literally insane, hates us, (though we haven’t been anything but nice to her,) and is determined to cut down every tree in her yard. Not every neighborhood has THAT, thank goodness!

  7. That’s great to hear Maggie and who knows; maybe my moving, you’ll gain more life experiences and continue to grow your relationship with God.

I think the series ideas are great, especially the one about your moving journey. Right now as of late, I am studying for my Final Exams; which are stressful but I know God can and already has gotten me through them.๐Ÿ˜

I have also been reading through the book of Revelation 8-9 as part of my Bible Challenge with my church (though, we are supposed to be in Matthew 7-8 today). I really enjoy reading it and might even go back to reading some books in the Old Testament as well.

  8. I really enjoyed reading your post! โค That's amazing you'll move! I'd love to move to a bigger house, haha. I'm glad Isabella is doing well! The photo of her is cute โค Now I have more free time and I'll come back to reading too, I can't wait! I love reading ๐Ÿ™‚ I even made a list "Books to read" and I put on it numerous titles of books that I want to read. I have to write an updating post on my blog too, because many things has happened in my life recently. For example, this Sunday I'm going to Prague in Czech Republic! I've wanted to visit this city for a looong time ๐Ÿ˜€ Have a lovely weekend, my dear! xx
