Little To Do List – March 23rd, 2018

Little To Do List – March 23rd, 2018

Hi there, guys! I hope you’re doing well. ❤ Happy Friday to all of you! I’m so happy we’ve gotten to the weekend, but I can’t believe how close we are to the end of March! With this in mind, I have decided to share an end-of-the-month to do list, so that I can make sure I’m finishing what I hoped to do throughout March.

I had originally thought about naming this post “March’s Last Hurrah,” haha, but then I noticed that by calling it that, I’m considering this upcoming week as the end of something – the last chance I have to get some accomplishments in. It’s not a fun way to live because then there’s this calendar deadline I’m living by, which is completely unnecessary. If you’ve been tempted to feel this way, as well, I’d love to encourage you to shift your thinking. While this month does have eight full days left in it, there’s no shame in letting a task carry over into the new month!

Prayer Request: It would bless me if you would pray for and send encouragement to my younger siblings, Samuel (6) and Elizabeth (1). They both have a stomach virus, and Samuel wasn’t doing well last night – he has a high fever right now. I’m really praying that the rest of us won’t get what they have and that they’ll feel better soon! ❤

Let’s check out what I’d love to get done this week (: Happy reading!

Little To Do List –
March 23rd, 2018

  • Keep working on the 7th course of Spanish on Memrise and stay up-to-date on review words. (I’d been hoping to complete all of this in March, but the phrases I’m required to memorize in the last level are quite challenging, haha! I know I’ll get it done, but it’s definitely taking more concentration than I would’ve anticipated.)
  • Begin reading some of the books on my TBR list. (I recently bought a few more books from a second-hand store that look amazing, so I’m excited about getting back into reading beginning with these! I’ll be sure to feature them in a post sometime next month once I’ve finished them 🙂 )
  • Clean out my closet. (I did this recently, lol, but then I went and littered the floor with shopping bags and a few other miscellaneous things that need a place. *sighs* It shouldn’t be hard to do, so I just need to get around to doing it!)
  • Make one more new dinner recipe. (I got to make dinner for my family a few times this month, and I really enjoyed it because they loved the dishes I made! Trying out one more this upcoming week is something I’d love to do.)
  • Continue exercising and eating right. (I easily fall out of the habit of this, for some reason, but I need to keep up with this because I don’t like how I feel when I don’t! Power-walking a mile or two daily, as well as eating portion sizes and cutting down on sweets, is a must for me. I can do this!)
  • Read more blog posts like this one(I have my blogger friend, Jessica, to thank for sharing this gem on my Reader this morning! It really encouraged me, as I have been facing decisions as I near my eighteenth birthday that has been stressing me out a bit, but this inspiring post really helped me to change my thinking. I need to focus more on finding books and blog posts along those same lines to read because it helped me so much!)

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you’re doing well, and that you also have a blessed weekend. ❤

  1. I’ll be praying for Samuel and Elizabeth! I hope that they get over the stomach virus soon 🙂
I’ll also be praying that you’ll be able to accomplish all that’s on your to-do list and also that God will keep the rest of your family safe from the virus ❤
    Stay safe and healthy!

  2. I will definitely pray for your brother and sister! 🙏 That does not sound fun at all. Great to do list! I know, it feels like March just started, and now it’s almost over! If you don’t mind, I do have a prayer request for you. Someone in our church has bone marrow cancer and is having a bone marrow transplant. It is a very risky operation and she has to undergo radiation and chemotherapy, and she will probably be sick for quite a while. Also, it is like a 50% chance of surviving the operation. If she does make it through, there will be life-long health challenges. The family needs a lot of prayer.
    Thanks, great post!
    Cheers,
    Brad

    1. Thank you so much, Brad! Yeah I know, I can’t believe it’s nearly over – but April is my birth month, so I don’t mind, haha! I will definitely be praying for her, thank you for sharing the request with me. ❤

  3. I was scrolling through my reader, came across your name and thought, “Hmm, let’s so what Maggie’s up today!” (I really enjoy reading your posts!) As I was reading through your To-Do List, I was quickly reminded by how I need to clean out my own closet, finish reorganizing the boy’s closet and catch up on my laundry! :/ I dread it but it has to get done lol and anyways, I kept reading and there at the bottom saw my name! I automatically went to click on it because I’m always swift to tell anyone who has the same name as me how awesome they are hahahahaha but when I clicked it, i saw that it was actually me you had included in your post!! Thank you so much!! I’m so glad that I could encourage you this morning!! Too many times, we let to many things that people say get to us but the truth is.. people are gonna talk regardless. Whether you’re doing good, bad, succeeding or failing, someone somewhere will always have something to say! That’s why self love is so important. It’s powerful actually. Love you girl! I hope you have a wonderful friday!!!

    1. Aww thank you, Jessica! ❤ Yes haha, tasks like that can pile up fast, and sometimes they take a while to complete. However, the final outcome is definitely worth it! Oh my gosh haha, that is so funny!! You’re very welcome, and you definitely did! ❤ That is very true, and something I’m working at remembering 🙂 Love you too! I hope you did, as well!

    2. Hey Jessica, I just went to the post you shared today and I noticed that the comment I posted on it isn’t showing up. Do you think it might have ended up in your spam comment folder? :/ I’ve had that happen with real comments on my blog before 🙂

  4. I just (finally) finished a complete clean-out and re-do of my closet! I should’ve done it earlier so I wouldn’t have to do it again in the next few months when summer comes 🙈 oh well haha

  5. Making dinner! Cool! Good for you! 🙂 My sister has to make dinner 3 times a week, she wants to be a Mom, and Mom is “training” her, I think it is super neat! 🙂 Haha, I recently cleaned out my clothes drawer too, lol.

      1. Haha, you know that may be true. I never thought about that. If I don’t have it out in the open…maybe I need to rethink why it is going in the closet (aside from clothes). I mainly have a box with scrapbooking stuff on the top.
