Organizing My Priorities For 2018

Organizing My Priorities For 2018

Hey guys ❤ I hope that this Tuesday has gotten off to a beautiful start for you!

I am extremely happy to report that yesterday evening, my dad brought my mom and Isabella home! I can’t tell you what a blessing it is to have them here now – it made me so sad to not be able to see them. I’m so thankful they didn’t have to stay at the hospital any longer!

Health Update: My mom and Isabella are both doing very well. My mom’s recovering beautifully from the surgery, and we can also all tell that Isabella is happy to be home. ❤ She’s such a sweet baby!!!

Today’s post is going to be about, as you can see from the title, organizing my priorities for this year. While I do love taking things one day at a time, I would also love to have a basic, structured idea of where I should be spending my time. I know that would be a huge help to me!

This is going to be a thinking out loud type of post, so if you’re interested in following along to see how I’m planning to spend the last semester of my senior year, I’d like to invite you to come along! 🙂 ❤ I hope you enjoy.

My Priorities, Organized

This Year:

  1. Take care of my family.
  2. Finish high school.
  3. Make healthy choices.
  4. Save money.
  5. Continue to blog.
  6. Make important decisions.
  7. Continue my education.

This Month:

  1. Stay well.
  2. Read more of the Bible.
  3. Interact more with my siblings.
  4. Bake/Cook more.
  5. Redecorate my room.
  6. Listen to new music.
  7. Participate in a blog challenge.

This Week:

  1. Help my mom with housework.
  2. Make meal plan and grocery shop.
  3. Work on my schoolwork.
  4. Buy a frame for my new wall print.
  5. Shop for new room decor.
  6. Keep up with blogging.
  7. Read Hank and Jim.

I would do a list for today, as well,
but I’m honestly not doing much today, haha! ❤

So there you have it! These are the three awesome lists that I plan to refer back to throughout this week, month, and year, too. My family is my #1 priority right now, and then comes my schooling, my entrance into adulthood (haha), and then everything else. I am so thankful for and blessed by all that the Lord has given me, and I don’t want to take any of it for granted for one second. ❤

Thank you so much for reading!

“This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

  1. This was such a cute, nifty little way to cultivate an overall more organized and productive mindset, I love it! 🙂 Believe it or not, even with my love for agenda and planners, I’ve actually never taken the time to thoughtfully list out my goals and to-do’s like this. I will very soon (when I get a spare moment between homework assignments xD) be referencing back to this post to do this for myself! Thank you Maggie!

P.s. I can’t wait for updates on your sweet little sister and your mamma, it’s so fun getting to go through this transition with you 🙂

    1. Aww thank you so much, Jordan! ❤ I really enjoyed writing this; it helped me a lot. 🙂 Hahaha same, I love 'em but can't seem to use them to their full potential! That would be wonderful! I'd enjoy reading that (:

Thanks so much! I enjoy getting to update you guys on how they're doing. 🙂

  2. Hip, hip, hooray! Your mom and Isabella are home! What a wonderful thing that is for all of you! And I love that you set general goals for yourself! I do the same. It really helps, doesn’t it? I don’t always meet all the goals… but that’s okay. The goals are for me and not the other way around. I don’t have to serve the goals… they simply serve me … as a general guide for my days and weeks. Love that you are doing the same! We are alike in many ways, it seems. God bless you greatly in this final semester, Maggie! You’re going to knock the socks off of everyone! You’re awesome! ❤ ❤

    1. Yes!!! Thank you, Lynn ❤ ❤ It really does! It's so helpful to know what I can be doing to stay productive, because when I don't, I easily get off track, lol. That's very true! Something to keep in mind 🙂 Thank you so much!

  4. If I learned one thing it‘s that family comes first so I agree with you 100%. I should probably write a list like that as well because sometimes I feel like Im overwhelmed by all the things I have to do and I forget whats TRULY important in life. Great post!
