Preparing For My Baby Sister!

Preparing For My Baby Sister!

Hey there, guys! Happy Wednesday to you. 🙂 ❤ A short while ago, my family and I got back from going to the doctor’s appointment my mom had this morning. She and the baby are doing well, and I am so excited to say that my little sister will join our family very soon! Her due date is the 31st of this month, however her belly is measuring a week farther along than she is, which means that it is very likely the baby will be born before then!

So, today’s post is a bit of an update, which is good because I haven’t talked much about how our family’s doing in a while! We’re all doing well, and couldn’t be more excited about the quick-in-coming arrival of the last member of our family.

When my mom had to stay in the hospital for a few days back in November, my dad and I were the ones taking care of my little siblings, and the house, as well. That will be what happens again within the next week or two (although there will be a happy reason for my mom being at the hospital, not a frightening one like in the fall!), and I am anticipating being Mommy #2 again (haha) and assistant housekeeper while she’s there, as well as for the week or two afterward, too. I’m planning on being much better prepared this time, so I’m brainstorming ways I can be ready so that there will be minimal stress for us here at the house.

At the moment (just as soon as I eat lunch, haha), I will be cleaning my room. Keeping it as clean and tidy as possible will be awesome for me, because then I can dedicate my time to watching Elizabeth, fixing meals, etc., and not feel compelled to clean my living space. I know that in the pictures, it looks pretty clean anyway, haha, but surfaces need to be cleaned and dusted again, which I do every few days.

a rare selfie!

Aside from cleaning, I’ll also be pitching in to help make freezer meals, which my mom has talked about doing recently, as that will make dinners extremely easy to throw together over the next couple of weeks. On the drive out to the doctor’s this morning, she was telling me about some different casseroles and other dishes that freeze well, so I can’t wait to make some of these! (I’m sure she’ll let me help, haha)

That’s it for today’s post! I would appreciate you guys’ thoughts and prayers for a positive experience for all of us, both with my mom and the baby, as well as the rest of our family. I can’t wait to introduce her to you guys! As I said, we’re all excited about this, but things can get hectic around here pretty quickly, especially with a new baby that will soon join our clan! 😀 ❤

Thank you so much for reading! ❤ Have a beautiful day!
