Little Sibling Gender Reveal + Other Life Updates

Hi there, guys! I hope that you’re all having a beautiful day. ❀

It has only been four days since I posted, but it really feels like it longer. That’s for a few reasons, the main one being that so much has been going on in my life recently! I haven’t been busy, exactly; just preoccupied, if that makes sense. lol I will explain more down below! If you’re curious about the title, or you want to take a peek into what I’ve been doing recently, this is the post for you! πŸ˜€ Let’s get into this.

Life Updates

First, we found out the gender of my baby sibling! Three months ago (I cannot believe it’s been that long!), I wrote a post telling you guys that my mom is pregnant with her last baby, which will be my last little sibling, too. Last Thursday, me and my whole family went to my mom’s doctor appointment for the ultrasound that would reveal the sweet child’s gender. Are you curious? Well …

The Lord has blessed me with not one sister, but two!!! ❀ ❀ Gone are the days when I was convinced that I would be the only girl in the family. There are going to be three (four, including our mom) now!!! I can’t accurately express to you guys how happy I am. I would have been happy if it was a boy, too – I promise! – but this … man! I can hardly believe it! :’)

Two (and this is a major shift in focus, I’m sorry), Hurricane Irma hit our area, but we are doing well. On Monday, she swept across Georgia, and we were among the many to get hit. This was the first time in history that Atlanta was under a tropical storm warning, guys!! There was a lot of rain (it was almost constant from Monday morning through to early Tuesday morning), and a whole BUNCH of wind (I’m surprised we didn’t have any trees fall over!). We didn’t lose power, which I’m so thankful for! But we did lose our internet Monday afternoon, and it finally started working again Tuesday evening. Haha! It was sad, but we made it through. Also, throughout Irma’s time in our area, I kept looking and going outside to get a real good experience of my first tropical storm. I had never seen that much wind before!

Third, I have been spending a lot of time working on blog posts for this fall. That’s the main reason I have been more aloof in the blogging world than I meant to be; I was (and still am) spending lots of time on my dashboard! I have a lot in store to share with you guys, so stay tuned for this fall. ❀ I can’t wait for October!

Fourth, my little brother turned 6 last Thursday! He’s the sweetest little guy ever, and we had such a fun time celebrating his birthday with him. ❀

I hope that you are all having a fantastic week! Let me know down below what you guys have been up to! ❀ I’ll see y’all soon!

Oh my goodness!!!! Congratulations on your baby sister!! I remember when my second baby sister was born… (7 MONTHS AGO ALREADY?!)
Enjoy every little moment that you have to spend with her when she arrives, because you will be looking back in shock at how fast time has gone… She will be a precious addition to your family, and I am so happy for you guys!
I am so glad that Hurricane Irma didn’t impact your area too bad, and I am looking forward to reading more of your fall posts. It is nice to visit again, sorry that I have been so distant! πŸ™‚
