Spotlight Saturday – Maha from Be-you-tiful

Hi there, everyone! Happy Saturday to all of you(: ❤ How has your week been going? Mine has been pretty full; I’ve been doing lots of behind-the-scenes work, and I’m also enjoying spending time with my family while I’m off from school! We took off this week to celebrate Samuel’s birthday, which I’ll be writing about soon:) But for today, I have a very lovely interview to share with you! I had so much fun writing it, and I know that you guys will love reading it, too. ❤ I hope you enjoy!

Spotlight Saturday #14

Hey everyone! Thank you for coming by this week’s spotlight(: For this Saturday, I had the wonderful chance to interview a very sweet blogger whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing for most of the time I’ve had this blog! She writes all about fashion, her travels, and other inspiration … please welcome Maha from Be-you-tiful!

Hello everyone! Hope all of you are having an amazing day! So honored to be featured on your Spotlight Saturday series and be interviewed by a wonderful blogger like you! This is such a great idea and thank you very much for this opportunity! Can’t wait to get started 🙂

I’m excited for this, too! Alright, so the first thing I’d like to know is, what is your blog Be-you-tiful all about? What gave you the idea for it, and what are you wanting to accomplish by writing posts on it?

I named my blog Be-you-tiful because I’m a girl who believes in always being yourself which is where I got the idea from. I always follow this principle throughout my life and the quote “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.”

I always try every year to become a better version of myself. I’m an avid learner and a creative thinker and I’m always on the run to coming out of my comfort zone, and learning new things in life as much as I can. My goal in life right now is to accomplish my dreams, leverage my skills and showcase all my talents as much as possible.

For the past few years, I’ve been discovering myself and who I really am and have realized that I have so many hidden talents that I wasn’t even aware of! I’ve been working on many hobbies such as nature photography, drawing, dancing, nail art, poetry and hopefully more in the future haha 🙂

By writing posts, I would really like to connect with everyone and create many innovative ideas/tips to portray to the world and inspire many people out there!

That is so beautiful, girl!! I love your yearly motto; it’s fantastic! Inspirational blogs/bloggers are honestly my favorite, because not only do they encourage everyone they meet, but they’re also constantly motivating themselves to do the best they can. ❤ Pursuing our passions is something I find so beautiful; I’m happy that you’re doing that with yours! The next thing I’d like to ask you is, what are three favorite posts of yours and why do you like them?

Aw, thank you so much Maggie! That really means a lot to me and am glad I can be an inspiration to every out there!

Well, I would say that my 3 fave posts would be the India & Spain Trip Part 2: Madrid post. I believe many of you enjoyed that post and I actually loved writing about it since Madrid is such a beautiful place which brought back some memories. I was glad I was able to share my pics and experience with you all! Ahh, there so many that I love haha!

I enjoy doing my OOTD posts especially the pink dress for my birthday because everything worked out perfectly and was able to match my purse and accessories with my dress so well!

Last but not least, a third one would be my nature photography: summer flowers! This was one of my fave because I’m so glad I got the chance to come across these amazing flowers and be able to take quick photo of them! These flowers are just so beautiful which made me really happy and gave me positive vibes.

You’re welcome!! xx ooh those posts are fantastic! Good choices! I enjoyed all of those(: My next question for you is: can you share a few blogging tips you’ve learned with us? What are some lessons you’ve learned, and maybe something new bloggers should know?

Thanks girl! Glad you enjoyed them 🙂

Some blogging tips would be to just write about topics that interest you or that you have a passion for since that would really reflect in your posts. Blogging is such a great way to brush up your skills especially writing which would definitely help in the future. Be genuine and honest and really try to express your thoughts since a lot of bloggers can all relate to each other.

Engage and be encouraging to one another because one small act of kindness can really impact someone and make their lives much brighter!

Write posts that would inspire other bloggers and that everyone can learn from. Everyone is unique and has their own style of writing. Instead of competing and comparing yourselves with others, compete with yourselves to grow as an individual. Blogging is not about how much followers you have or how many likes you got on your post (even thought it def feels great lol)

Prove to everyone out there that you are one of a kind and utilize all the strengths and improve on the weaknesses to be a better version of yourself each day! Most importantly, just always be yourself and love yourself which will definitely make you and your blog beautiful 🙂

Use your blogging skills to learn new topics out there, explore who you really are, work hard to achieve your goals, and be an inspiration to everyone!

Aww that is all fantastic advice!! ❤ You’re such a huge inspiration to bloggers – especially me! So, I’d like to know: when you’re not blogging, what can one find you usually doing? For example, what are things you do most (if not every) day?

Aw thanks girl, it really means a lot to me!

I love listening to music whether its Pop, Hip Pop, or even Bollywood. Love dancing to rhythm of the music and enjoying myself, especially in times of stress. I enjoy watching tv shows, shopping on weekends, spending time with family (movie night) and just working on my hobbies, as you know like drawing, photography, DIY nail art, etc. I love reading but haven’t gotten the time to read a good novel due to the hectic schedule of grad school.

I love music, as well! All of your hobbies/daily activities sound awesome(: I’ve really enjoyed getting to interview you, Maha! Thank you for doing this with me. Is there anything else you’d like to tell my readers before we go?

Thank you very much girl for this wonderful opportunity! I also had a great time participating in this lovely interview and so grateful for being part of your Spotlight Series! Def a nice experience 🙂 Thank you to all the people who took the time to read this and if you would like to know more about me, feel free to stop by my blog, take a look at my About Me section, and explore my posts if you’re interested 🙂 Thanks once again Maggie and love you all ❤

Another great interview with such a sweet blogger! I also have been noticing many hidden talents that I wasn’t even aware of! And I agree that bloggers should stop trying to compete with others and instead work to improve themselves. Everyone is on a different path and journey so comparing yourself to others will only keep you off track of yours.

Thanks, girlie!! ❤ ahh same here! It's such a great feeling when you find something new, and then quickly catch on to it. It's exciting! ❤ yes, very true! It's often hard, though, as we unintentionally compare ourselves to others all the time.
