Little Accomplishments – July 28th, 2017

What have you accomplished this week?

Hello everyone – how are you all on this fine Friday? Welcome to this week’s Little Accomplishments!

You know what I just realized? It has been a full month since I did one of these posts!! 😱 What?! That’s crazyyy πŸ˜‚ I figured five weeks was enough time away from this enjoyable Friday series, so I’m back for another one today.

((Quick Life Update: It turns out that my cold is actually strep throat, a sickness I get quite often. I feel soooo bad today 😭 I can’t talk, can barely eat … Please keep me in your prayers, guys!!))

As you guys can probably guess, I got lots of things done on my blogging break, but I’ll go more into detail on what those things were on the post I’ll be doing on the first of August. For my Little Accomplishments, I’ll just mention what I achieved here recently.

Let’s celebrate all of life’s joys – no matter how small!

Here recently, I…

  • completed a few different coloring pages. (I absolutely love how they turned out!!)

  • updated my blog’s sidebar. (Wanna take a look? Haha it has been forever since I added any new widgets, and the ones I decided on are pretty cool.)
  • finished reading three books. (A book on Guatemala, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and a lovely novel called The Island of Heavenly Daze! The last title I mentioned is the first book in a series of five, so I’m super excited to check out the rest of those!)

  • cleaned up my room. (I dusted, organized … normal stuff! I do it every once in a while)
  • learned some of the major piano chords. (My piano learning progress is going slower than I’d like, but oh well. Such is life! I’m taking it a day at a time and learning as I feel inspired.)

Comment what YOU’VE done this week down below – last Saturday through today!

I hope that you all had a fantastic week, everyone, and that this upcoming week will be amazing, too!

  1. Widgets look good…and keep up the effort on the piano…will pay dividends later. Always good to clean, dust, and organize your room…part of our silent witness to the world that we care enough about visitors and friends to keep a welcoming environment.

  2. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments, Maggie! I don’t think I’ve accomplished anything this week except getting up and coming to work…which during weeks like this totally counts. lol. Next week will be better! xoxo

    1. Aw thanks, Brittney! xx haha I got less done than I would have liked, but that was mainly due to being sick. 😞 I’ll catch up on stuff next week! Hope you have a great weekend!

  3. Learning as I feel inspired… maybe that’s what I should tell my piano teacher when I slack off on practicing, haha! She’s super nice, but doesn’t hesitate to let me know if she thinks I’ve been lazy. XD Get well soon, Maggie. I hate being sick. When anyone in my family gets sick I start taking elderberry and vitamin c so I don’t get it.

    1. Haha! Not sure that would pass off as legitimate to a piano teacher. I hardly think it’s a good reason and I’m just teaching myself. πŸ˜‚ thank you so much. Yeah vitamin c is a life saver!

      1. The nice thing about teaching yourself is there’s no pressure. The nice thing about having a teacher, (a good one anyway,) is you have access to all of their experience and wisdom. Of course, you have to pay for it. πŸ˜‰ I feel really blessed though because my teacher is not only an amazing teacher but a great friend. I could never teach; I don’t have the patience.

    1. Thank you, Patrick. I definitely will continue to learn the piano – it is so much fun to play! I do wish I’d started learning a bit earlier in life, but it’s better late than never. Thank you for your prayers πŸ™‚

  4. You got so much done, that’s awesome! I managed to spend all my money on my half of rent this week cause my paycheck was half what I normally get since our SC vacation was on the last pay cycle haha not so great, but my next one will be plenty to get me by (:

  6. Soooo sorry about the strep, praying and thanking God for your speedy recovery πŸ™‚ The colouring looks amazing! 3 books, updating widgets, piano and all the stuff I already commented on, you got A LOT done, even though you are sick. Good job!

  7. You poor kid! Strep is no fun! My youngest son used to get it and immediately get Scarlet Fever. Take you medicine and rest, Kiddo!
I had kind of an exceptional week but the only things I really accomplished were making potato chips and doing some housework today.

    1. No, it definitely isn’t! I’ve had scarlet fever twice, and it wasn’t half as bad as this!! My only symptom with that was a rash. Haha homemade potato chips sounds like an accomplishment to last a whole week! I love chips!!

      1. Pete would be so miserable when he’d get step. Then we discovered I was the one giving it to all if them. I was the Typhoid Mary of strep throat!
I used to make them all the time. It’s faster than going to the village to buy them!
