Spotlight Saturday – Sophie from Hopeless Wonderer

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday to all of you. πŸ™‚ For this week’s interview, I got to interview a new blogger that I recently met! I’m so glad I had the chance to do this with her. xx Let’s get into it!

My words are in italics, and hers are in bold.

Spotlight Saturday #9

Hi everybody! Thank you so much for coming by this week’s Spotlight Saturday. Today, I’d like to introduce to you a sweet blogger that I recently met, who is actually quite new to blogging! Please welcome Sophie from Hopeless Wonderer!

Hey guys! Hope everyone’s having a fabulous day, so as mentioned i’m quite new to the world of blogging, so i’m still getting the hang of this! I just want to say a huge thanks to Maggie for giving me the chance to do this it is much appreciated πŸ™‚

No problem, Sophie! I’m excited that I have the chance to interview you today. πŸ™‚ The first thing I’d like for you to do is to introduce yourself to us. What are some of your hobbies and interests?

Well it was actually down to my hobbies and interests which brought me to blogging. I’ve always been the type of person who keeps memorabilia. Whether this is tokens from fair grounds, leaflets from holidays, everything and anything is stored in my messy draw. I hold a cinema ticket for every film i have ever seen, I just can’t throw them out. Because of this I thought it would be good to start a blog.

I wanted something I could make note of all my adventures and look back, as well as having someone to share my photos with. Everyone has that one friend who takes too many photos and well…thats me!

I was keen to share all my photos and was very interested in learning more and improving through other bloggers. When reading my blog, you can expect quite a variety of stuff that covers my hobbies including fitness posts about my current progress with how I want to improve my lifestyle.

This will also include my failed attempts at cooking, but I am yet to be brave enough to post anything about that! Keeping fit is something really important to me as I have always struggled with my weight whether its been too much or too little so it is important to me to have somewhere to track. On the days I’m not trying my hardest to be the biggest gym enthusiast I can, I’m lounging around at home, wasting as much time as possible playing video games. It’s a good way to let your frustration out that’s for sure!

That’s a great way to have gotten into blogging! Writing posts is a great way of tracking adventures, as well as your feelings. I love reading others’ personal posts where they’re honest about how they’re feeling, whether that’s positive or negative, because then the readers can relate to them – rejoicing when they’re happy, and sympathizing when they’re sad. Alright, so my next question is, what are your favorite things to do when you’re not blogging?

I couldn’t agree more, I could easily spend a few hours scrolling through and reading all the stories about the crazy places people go. That is a very difficult question, as at the minute I am obsessed with blogging. I have too many drafts saved of all different types of posts I want to publish! Apart from my new obsession you can quite often find me at a music gig.

This month alone i have 4 coming up and Reading Festival which I go to every year. My music taste is quite large from Two Door Cinema Club, to The Foo Fighters, Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy. i basically listen to everything! This month I am seeing The Wombats, Blink 182, Green day and The Hives. To me, there is nothing better than the atmosphere in a room full of people who all share the same love towards a music artist as you, and that part of every show where all the artist need to do is play the first few notes and the crowd just carry the song. It makes me happy.

Music is the language everyone loves and it breaks down so many barriers between people.

On most week days though you can find me trying various new recipes which my poor dad has to try, but the failures are all part of the fun and I get to learn what works well together. My favourite thing to make is a butternut squash curry, its my hidden talent!

Ooh I’ve never tried butternut squash curry before! It sounds good:) Ahh music gigs are definitely so much fun! Singing along with other fans is such an invigorating, amazing feeling. Ed Sheeran and Fall Out Boy are two of my favorites! So tell me, what are a few reasons why you’d love for my readers to come by your blog today? What does Hopeless Wonderer have to offer them?

I highly recommend its a very refreshing meal and foodies would love it! πŸ™‚

As I’m still quite new to blogging I am yet to build up many posts. However, its there for me to tell my stories. I’m 20 years old and I am ready to take on the world. At the minute I am juggling traveling and a full time job whilst also looking at moving out. There’s a lot going on and how I cope with my anxiety at my side will be put on my blog.

Not only that but I have the worst common sense ever and my embarrassing social encounters will be broadcasted on to my page for you guys to chuckle at.

To me its important to have somewhere to express yourself and I’m at that age where I’m between wanting to stay young whilst also needing to start growing up. There’s a lot being thrown my way but I want to share that with everyone and see how others are doing too.

My blog is packed with adventures and embarrassing moments but that’s my life!

That sounds wonderful, Sophie! Personal blogs are great because they offer us a chance to express ourselves and talk about how we’re feeling. πŸ™‚ Thank you so much for letting me interview you today! I hope that my readers will take a moment to drop by your blog. Do you have anything else you’d like to say before we go?

No Maggie thank you! Just one thing, i haven’t been blogging long, and i know a few people who have always talked about the community. My blog isn’t filled with too many posts just yet but already i have spoken to so many lovely and incredible writers! All of you guys are honestly such great people and i am very grateful for your advice and support to my little start up blog, it’s very appreciated!xxxx

Thank you all so much for reading! It would make both of us so happy if you could drop by and visit her blog today. She is very sweet and interactive, loves writing about her thoughts and adventures, and would enjoy talking to you in the comments section of her posts!

Have a great Saturday, everyone! πŸ™‚ xxx

    1. Hey Gracie! Haha usually, I just look through the list of who I’m following, and if I think a blogger would be fun to interview, I contact them about it. There really isn’t any kind of order or method.

    1. Thank you, Shannon! πŸ™‚ oh!! 😟 I hope that goes well for you ❀ I've never had any surgery like that, only minor ones, so my best advice would be to leave it all in the Lord's hands ❀ Know that He's taking care of you and will get you through this:)
