Hi, guys! I hope you’re all having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, and that your week has gotten off to a great start. 🙂
For the last and final time, I’m changing up the day’s prompt. That is because I’m combining the last two of the challenge (‘my favorite social media sites’ and ‘where else you can find me online’) into the last prompt for the challenge, which I’ll be posting tomorrow.
For today, I’ll be talking about my favorite movies!
You can read about what this challenge is here. And make sure to check out Cheila’s and Angela’s posts for today, too – we’re all doing the challenge together!
My Favorite Movies
First of all, you guys should know that I absolutely love comedy movies!! Rom coms, especially. I’m not one for anything else, really; fantasy/paranormal usually frightens me too much lol, romances are too emotional, true stories are a bit too sentimental for me … ahaha I’ll stop here before I offend someone. There are awesome movies that I’ve seen from all sorts of different movie genres, and there’s not a thing wrong with the movies I didn’t like; they just honestly weren’t for me!
Below, I’ll share with you some of my all-time, the-first-to-come-to-mind favorite movies. Make sure to let me know if you love any of these, too!
Waking Ned Devine. It’s a delightful story about a small village in Ireland called Tullymoore (ah or however it’s spelled) where one of the residents win the lottery … but the main characters can’t figure out who. I love the whole cast (save for the villain character haha), the setting, the plot, the humor … there is very little that I dislike about this movie! I’ve watched it so many times; I really don’t know what I’d do without it.
27 Dresses. It’s about a wedding planner who would love to have a wedding of her own one day … but with a man that is already taken. When she has to plan this long-time crush’s wedding, and the bride-to-be is someone she never would have expected, things become chaotic very quickly! I love the whole cast in this movie, the humor is great, and the plot is definitely gripping. ❤ I love getting to see Katherine Heigl and James Marsden in these roles!
Mad Money. When three woman who have it badly off one way or another find themselves working at the same bank, and all three dealing with retired money going to the shredder … they all get a brilliant (albeit illegal and felonious) idea into their heads. Hahaha the focus of this movie has such awful morals, but it is absolutely hilarious! I love Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah, and Katie Holmes in these roles.
The Holiday. When two heartbroken women decide to trade houses for the Christmas holiday, they end up each falling for someone while there … two different people that have always been in the lives of those two women. I love the settings, the plot, the music, the wardrobe (I’m serious. while watching, just pay attention to what everyone’s wearing. So cozy!), and the two relationships that come about over the course of the movie. They’re sooo sweet and I’ve already loved Kate Winslet and Jack Black from other movies, but this was actually the first time I’ve seen Jude Law and Cameron Diaz in a film. I ended up loving both of them, though!
Clue. Oh my goodness, this movie has me laughing the entire time I’m watching it. The cast is brilliant, the humor is nonstop, and people are dying this way and that. What’s not to like? ;D If you know how to play the classic board game, Clue, then you’ll know what’s going on in this movie, and you’ll appreciate all the references. Tim Curry playing Wadsworth, the butler, is my favorite part of the whole movie.
Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban. I couldn’t list my favorite movies and not mention Harry Potter somewhere! This is my favorite Potter film because, for some reason, it is the most intriguing to me. I love the additions to the cast, and the focus on finding whoever’s after Harry … or not … haha I’m trying not to give away anything! I also love all the Defense Against the Dark Arts lessons that Professor Lupin teaches; those scenes are fantastic!

Thanks so much for reading, everyone! Do we have any favorites in common? And how about you?
What are YOUR favorite movies?
I’ll see you guys for this challenge again tomorrow, then lastly on Wednesday for the grand finale!

Great movies! Well, except the Harry Potter ones but only because I haven’t ever watched those. But I’m sure if you say they are good, then that’s good enough for me 🙂

Thank you, Margaret! Haha, there are many things that I love about the Harry Potter series, but it is sometimes too scary with all the dark magic it involves. Still, they did an awesome job with the movies 🙂

I knew we shared things in common, but how awesome for one of them to be Clue! I enjoy romantic comedies, definitely preferred over romances. I do love real life inspired movies, even if sentimental though, because of the messages behind. I highly recommend this family comedy movie Mom’s Night Out, if you guys haven’t seen it. I think you and your mom would love it, as well as the rest of the family. It’s also a Christian movie, which a great message snuck in by Trace Adkins. When I was in Little Rock, I showed it to my friends and even the guys thoroughly enjoyed it. ❤ Have a blessed week!

Clue is a great movie! Rom coms are great 🙂 there have been some real life-inspired movies I’ve enjoyed, but for the most part, I prefer comedies lol. I’ll have to check out Mom’s Night Out, thanks! Hope you have a great week, too.

I love Dean Spanley, War Horse, and the Day of the Doctor. I don’t know if the last one counts as a movie, as it’s really the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, but they showed it in theaters, so, ya know. That reminds me; the other day, I was watching Doctor Who, and guess who was in it? David Suchet! As a villain! Without a mustache, unfortunately.

Great idea combining the last two prompts, they are really similar. Also, I’m with you on Prisoner of Azkaban being a favourite. It’s not my absolute favourite (the finale always gets me) but it’s up there 😀
