Blogging Challenge – Days 1 and 2: Intro and 10 Facts About Me

Blogging Challenge – Days 1 and 2: Intro and 10 Facts About Me

Hello everyone! While browsing Pinterest this morning, I came across various blogging challenges, and I decided pretty last minute to participate in one that I found.

This means that every day in May, I’ll have at least one post to share with you guys! I’m pretty excited about it, as I’ve never posted that many days in a row before.

I’ll still be doing recipes, Little Accomplishments, tags and awards, Spotlight Saturdays, and devotionals – my blogging routine will be the same, just with an extra post each day!

With the introduction aside, I’ll move on to the 10 facts about myself. 🙂

  1. I have been homeschooled my whole life, and I only have one year left!
  2. I have three younger siblings; a 13-year-old brother named Joshua, a 5-year-old brother named Samuel, and a 10-month-old baby sister named Elizabeth.
  3. Over the seven years that I’ve been blogging, Dreaming of Guatemala is probably between the 20th and 25th blog I’ve ever made and/or been part of. (When I was younger, I kept different blogs for my various interests!)
  4. I got my first phone the summer I was 14.
  5. I haven’t had my first job yet.
  6. After reading Romeo and Juliet for school a few years ago, I’ve loved classic literature ever since!
  7. Up until January of this year, I couldn’t stand baking or cooking due to the silly fear of messing up! #ohhowivebeenwastingyearsofmylife
  8. My birthstone is the diamond, and my middle name (Marguerite) means “pearl”!
  9. I am sensitive to greasy and spicy food, chocolate gives me bad acne, and butter is also bad for my skin. #iliveasadlife
  10. My very first phone lockscreen was of my bae Hunter Hayes.

If you have any more questions about me, feel free to ask! Or if you would like to participate in this blogging challenge yourself, I’ll give you the full list of prompts in the comments below! x

Happy Tuesday!

  1. I love coming across challenges on Pinterest! I have several that I pinned to do, but I decide to give May a break. I’ll be looking forward to reading your daily posts. 🙂

    1. I’m going to be doing a post each day in response to the prompts I found on Pinterest! If you’d like to do the same, I can give you the list. 🙂 Yes, they are quite fun. Happy May to you, too.

      1. hahaha. That’s a good thing. It’s a good lesson and you feed people, there is as much joy in that as in the baking 😉 two-old blessing. Love it when you can double down on the blessings 😉

    1. Thanks! Ooh, I haven’t really thought about it. I just might! If I did, it would just be me and my family 😂 I’ll have to share pictures of it on a Little Accomplishments post around that time!

  2. I would love to know what the prompts are!! So good to get to know you better. I would love to homeschool my kids one day, but people don’t do it here in my country. Do you like the fact that you were homescholed? Were you happier this way? Tell me a little about this topic, if you don’t mind 🙂

    1. I just emailed you the list! Enjoy. Yes, I absolutely loved homeschooling – and I still am for this last year! I am much happier doing all my work at home because for one, it’s tailored to my specific needs and interests (my mom does a great job choosing the subjects I study 🙂 ), and I honestly do better in one-on-one settings, not in groups, lol. I’ll have to write some posts on my homeschooling experience in the future!

      1. I will love to read about that. If you haven’t missed the typical school experience, being around other kids, how it is like to be with family your whole day (sounds amazing!!), have more freedom. Etc..

      2. I LOVE getting to be with them (they’re awesome!!), but at times during the school day, having so many people around is definitely distracting, haha. Yes having more freedom to go along with what our family needs, whether we have a sick day or just need to take a break, that is definitely a blessing. 🙂

  3. I’ve seen lots of month blogging challenges on Pinterest. They seem fun, but i also like to feel free about what I post. I also post twice a day sometimes already so i dont want to do more XD
This was fun to read! I look forward to reading more 😄

    1. Yeah, I usually stick to posting what I’m in the mood to write, but I often lack in inspiration, haha! I can understand that; posting more than twice a day is a bit much, haha 😊 Thank you! I’m looking forward to writing all of these upcoming posts.
