Little Accomplishments – April 28th, 2017

What have you accomplished this week?

I finally got myself to work on one of these posts throughout the week, hahahah! Welcome back to this Friday’s Little Accomplishments, everyone!

My family and I have slowly been getting back to normal, which I’m so thankful for. We visited different libraries, spent some time outside (which my sinuses didn’t appreciate, haha), and ran different errands around the city, just like we usually do. πŸ™‚ I hope and pray that your past week has been enjoyable, too!

Let’s celebrate all of life’s joys – no matter how small!

This past week, I…

  • reached 300 followers! (Oh my goodness, guys! I can’t thank you enough ❀ )
  • got caught up on upcoming blog posts. (I end up waiting to complete posts until practically the day before I publish them, instead of having them ready days in advance! So, I prepared a little better this week: I’ve interviewed different people, baked some new treats, and browsed Pixabay for pictures I need in multiple posts.)
  • bought a watch. (I’ve been wanting one for a while. And this one was only $3!)

  • finished my Algebra II course. (Wooohooooo! Math + letters = not fun. HAHA)
  • checked out a lot of awesome books from the library. (From some kids’ novels for school (children’s literature), to some books that I’ve been wanting/needing to read for a while, our trip to the library on Monday was very productive! I’ve been reading more this past week than I have in a long time. [By the way, the one on the left is not a library book; it’s a devotional book from a friend. I just keep it beside my bed for easy access in the mornings!])

  • finished reading Anne of Green Gables. (I picked it up for a reading challenge I’ll be doing on my blog soon, and before I knew it … I was halfway through the book! I found all of the characters likeable within the first few chapters, and I just had to find out what happened next! [And, as you probably saw in the library haul pic above, I’m on my way to read the whole Anne series. lol])
this is the edition I read the story from. isn’t it beautiful?
  • dusted my desk and organized the drawers. (I usually have to do this bi-weekly – dust and stuff pile up fast!!)
  • further caught up on my Spanish. (Practically every week, I’ll fall behind a bit on memorizing words on Memrise [hah], then I’ll do my best to catch up again. However, I did just reach 500 memorized words on Spanish 3, which is pretty awesome!)

Comment what YOU’VE done this week down below – last Saturday through today!

    1. No, I’m just sensitive to pollen – it makes my throat itchy and I sneeze a lot πŸ™‚ Benadryl helps me when my reaction is too severe. I’ve never heard of oregano oil! That’s interesting.

  1. Productive visits to the library are always fun! Haha! I hated math (and particularly algebra)…until I started teaching it. Well done on your Spanish! And I am so happy that things are getting back to normal around your place! My accomplishments this past week? I started running again (yay!). I’ve also started my laundry today instead of keeping it for Sunday. Plus, I’ve been able to drink enough water almost every day (and when I wasn’t able to, I was only a glass away from reaching my goal).

  2. I love the watch!! Great deal on it too, what a blessing. AND 300 followers that is great, but of course with such a good blog I can see why!!! It will be 600 in no time πŸ˜‰ I’m (selfishly) happy about the baking you’ve been doing πŸ™‚ we reap all the rewards from you testing and perfecting those tasty little treats. Now if I could just figure out how you can get them to me right after they come out of the oven :):) I haven’t done anything much different this week other than spend time with the family. Its a rarity for us to be in the same house at the same time πŸ™‚ Great work on all your accomplishments this week!! πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you so much, Margaret! I’m so happy that I found it. πŸ™‚ Aw thank you! ❀ You're so sweet. Well, when you come for a visit, I will have a dessert waiting for you, fresh out of the oven, when you get here!! What's your favorite recipe that I've tried so far? I'm glad that you got to spend time with your family πŸ™‚ Thanks again! ❀

      1. Which one isn’t my favorite would be a shorter list lol. I loved the cinnamon bun cake, the banana bread, and those lemon cookies all would be great. Now I am sure that isn’t the correct names for all those tasty treats but hopefully you know the ones I am talking about. I know there are more because I am always drooling every time you post good but those are the ones right off the top of my head.

      2. hahaha. Hubby bought some cheese at the little fruit stand we get our strawberries, veggies etc from. He knows I love a good block of cheese, any kind of cheese. He calls them “presents” when he brings me something home like cheese LOL and they are!!! It was tomato basil. Love it πŸ™‚

    1. Haha! I always [finally] complete mine minutes before I hit “publish,” lol πŸ™‚ there’s not a thing wrong with waiting until the day of, but I like to be ready in advance. Thank you! And congratulations πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•πŸŒΈ

  3. Thank you for stopping by my blog Maggie. Thought I would check your blog out. Love Ann of Green Gabbles – the book and the movie. I doubt that I have accomplished as much as you – due to middle age aches and pains. But the house is clean – the flowers and garden are planted with my husband’s help. Try to read my Bible as often as possible – had a gospel meeting at church, the laundry is done (Ha). Baked a nice blueberry cake with our home grown berries from last year. Nice blog you have Maggie.

    1. (Sorry I hadn’t responded yet, Angela! It accidentally went to spam.) Thank you so much! I know, that’s so awesome. πŸ˜€ Yay, that’s awesome, too! I keep waiting too long to clean my room and desk, so it feels really good to finally do it, haha!
