Little Accomplishments – April 14th, 2017

What have you accomplished this week?

Hi everyone! It’s that time of week again – welcome back to my weekly Little Accomplishments post!

This whole past week was filled with so much joy! I celebrated my 17th birthday, I got to play a Wii game that I’ve been wanting to play for years, I got a lot of miscellaneous things done … basically in light of the week or two before, these past seven days rocked!!!

I hope that all of you have been having a great week, too. πŸ™‚ What have you been up to recently? Anything exciting, productive, or a bit of both? Let me know in the comments below!

Let’s celebrate all of life’s joys – no matter how small!

This past week, I…

  • completely organized my room. (Woohoooo! Been wanting to accomplish this for SO long! Look below to get a mini tour!)

  • found a way to balance browsing WordPress and learning Spanish. (Before reading blog posts or responding to comments, I have to do a lesson or two of Spanish, then I allow myself to get on WordPress! As you can see, I’m learning about bargaining right now, haha.)

  • started drinking more water. (I finally found the inspiration I needed! I’m using an app called Plant Nanny [not sponsored] to keep track of my water intake, and right now, I’m growing a cactus. I love it! I’m drinking more water daily than I ever have before. Let me know if you use it, or if you’re interested in starting to!)

  • learned all the words to We Know The Way, a song from Moana. (And it was no easy task, as half of the song is in a Hawaiian language, haha!! I just turned on the subtitles [or you can watch the lyric video below] to learn how to sing each word. I like a good challenge. And I even named my Plant Nanny cactus after some of the lyrics! [Kaiga e])
  • bought lots of photo prints. (I’m one of those people who loves photo albums and photo boxes. I cherish holding physical photos over looking at them on a screen. ❀ And this purchase is just proof of that fact! Four hundred photos … [pictured below are prints from 2015 that I bought last year])

Comment what YOU’VE done this week down below – last Saturday through today!

  1. Oh, yes, you have reminded me how badly I need to clean MY room! But I’m not home this weekend. My goal for the next few days is to finish a book I am reading, (called 20 Years After,) because I am 96% of the way through it and I can TASTE THE END, haha!

    1. Yay on nearly finishing your book! I’m always so excited (and somewhat sad) to finish reading one. Have you enjoyed reading 20 Years After? The title sounds interesting!

  2. Happy belated birthday! Your room looks so peaceful I love it! This past week I moved into my first apt and have still been getting it all together, it’s a long tiring process but I’m so grateful and excited✨

      1. Soon hopefully! It’s going to be a long process since we’re basically starting with none. Next step is looking for a small couch or loveseat. When you finally get to decorate your own apartment I know it will look amazing!

    1. It is a very fun app! It encourages me to drink the right amount of water by letting me grow little virtual plants. Haha! Thank you so much πŸ’• And thanks! I will. I have no idea how 400 pictures arriving in the mail will look 😱 Probably crazy!

    1. Thank you, Stella! ❀️ Woohoo! That’s awesome πŸ™‚ it always takes me waaaay longer to clean my room than I think it should, haha! Finding a place for everything is a real dilemma.

  3. Your room looks awesome! I love the fairy lights!
Also We Know the Way is in both Samoan and Tokelaun, I believe. I like to watch the video on youtube with the subtitles on so I can try learn it too πŸ˜„

    1. Thank you so much! ❀️ Yes, my room wouldn’t be the same without all of the lights. πŸ™‚
That’s so cool! I recently looked at an article because I was wanting to see what the translation was, which I couldn’t find, but the article did talk about what language/s it’s in. I agree, the subtitles are very helpful!

    1. Thanks, Margaret! Yeah, it was a nice change from the last couple of weeks. Haha well I’m hoping and praying that the wifi will be a bit more agreeable for you this weekend! How was your day? How was the drive?

      1. uugghhhhh…somedays the drive is sooooo enjoyable. Today was not one of those days hahahaha. I am here though. I got some veggies, strawberries and pastries along the way. So, there is always something to be thankful for even on a day like today πŸ™‚ How has the day been treating you??? OH and I read your blog before I even moderated mine. I don’t know why but my gravitar isn’t showing up but no fixing it with this sketchy internet. hahaha

      2. Oh no!! I’m sorry it wasn’t enjoyable for you – but hey, strawberries and pastries are always a good thing. Haha! My morning wasn’t all that great, but we got some different things done that needed doing, and I’ve been working on blog post ideas all afternoon…slow going, I can NOT find the inspiration I need…ugh. Do you have any ideas? I’m accepting all blog post ideas, lol! And oh, the joys of Gravatar. But I can still see yours, so that’s a good thing πŸ™‚

      3. ok at least the rest of the free world can see it πŸ™‚ lol Sorry your morning started off, well off πŸ™‚ But glad it got better for you πŸ™‚ I’d love to see a spiritual short story. You know fiction but something that could happen through God. But I am not the expert, I just post Bible verses πŸ™‚ I will think about it though and if I think of anything I will tell you.

      4. Haha! Yeah, me too. Something pretty cool happened spiritually that I’ll either post about, or I can tell you about it via email πŸ™‚ That’s a good idea for a post. Thanks! I love writing fiction, but I tend to write nonfiction more. I’ll have to think about it…picture prompts always help me. And thanks, I’d appreciate that ❀

      5. It’s going great. We had strawberries and croissants for breakfast. Went and did a little shopping. The exchange is having a great sale. Got a couple of shirts, got hubby some shoes and I got a wallet. Mine was falling apart lol. I Made us some asparagus for a afternoon snacks and fajitas for dinner πŸ™‚ How about your day?

      6. That’s wonderful! Sounds like a great day. Oh man, wish I’d had some strawberries and croissants for breakfast! Yummy πŸ™‚ My day was pretty good. I got up way later than I usually do because I got up very early the past couple of mornings, so I spent the majority of today working on my blog, playing some games with Samuel, and updating the characters on our Wii. Not very exciting, but I still had fun πŸ™‚

      7. Having them again in the morning too, oh and some cantaloupe πŸ™‚ We would have had some cantaloupe this morning but I cut up so many strawberries. I didn’t do that on purpose, maybe;) Your day sounds great. Give me fun over exciting any day. I don’t need anything getting my heart rate up πŸ™‚

      8. You’re so lucky, haha! All I’ve been having is instant oatmeal lately. πŸ˜‰ But that’s still tasty! Haha, that’s true. I should be grateful for the good in every day.

    2. I can’t wait to hear about your spiritual blessing!!! I know you are a writer/author and figured that spiritual short stories, so like the verses I posted today. The one in Luke.(this is just an example lol) A boy who always did the things to get his friends, teachers, etc praise man’s reward, at any cost. He stole someone’s idea for a business. Later he starts seeing how many lives he damaged. He makes it right? I don’t know. I’m not good at this LOL someone else will have better ideas πŸ™‚ Maybe your jesus calling daily you could expand on it in a story?

      1. That’s a great idea for a story! Haha no, yours is wonderful! Every story starts as an idea like that πŸ™‚ Yeah, Jesus Calling has inspired me with every devotional I’ve read! I would enjoy expanding off of some of them.

    1. Aw thanks, Pamela! I love it. Yeah Moana was great. πŸ™‚ Ooh! Β‘Me encanta esa idea! (Although I had to verify that sentence in a translation thing on Bing…oh well lol) Me audiarΓa mucho. (But maybe not all of your comments, as I would be using my limited knowledge and the translate engine all the time hahahah)
