His Word Comforts Me

His Word Comforts Me

There is nothing more precious to me than His Word.

I look to it to learn more about Him. I love to learn of His ways and hear Him speak to my heart.

Whenever I have any questions or worries, I open my Bible and, within moments, will have read something that calms me completely.

I look to it when I seek wisdom, and as I trust in His perfect timing, He is faithful to answer me.

Every night before I fall asleep, I allow the words I read to fill my thoughts and comfort my soul.

My Bible enables me to feel so much closer to Him, and His Word never ceases to bless me. 💜

Is there a Bible verse that has really blessed you? What is it?

  1. Nice!! I’m such a believer in God and I always pray everyday! He is the reason why I’m here today happy and healthy and HE is the one who I always go to for hard times 🙂 Glad you posted this and always have that faith ❤

  2. Last year was probably the worst year of my life so far. And yet, I still believed that God won’t abandon my family. I was praying day and night to have them healthy and happy, without caring much about my self.
I think the true meaning of faith comes to the surface when you pray for the others and not for yourself!
    Bless you girl! 😇

    1. I’m so sorry last year was hard for you. I definitely agree; praying for others does something different for you than if your prayers are self-centered (which isn’t always a bad way to pray, as we need to take care of ourselves, but it’s definitely different when we focus on others). Have a blessed day! x

  3. Thank you for this Maggie. It is as inspirational as it is true. I so many favorite verses but I think the one that truly changed my life, and gave me hope that I wasn’t hopeless.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

    1. You’re welcome; I’m glad you enjoyed reading it. 🙂 I love those verses, as well – honestly, the whole chapter of Romans 8 is my favorite passage in the entire Bible. The first verse that really stood out to me when I first came to know Him was the 11th verse. I love it.

      1. That is awesome! I miss mine. 🙂 My son never got to meet her and my mom still is processing her passing so it’s on our mind a lot. It’s nice to see another Christian blogger out there!

      2. I miss mine, as well. I didn’t know her for very long before she passed away; I only got to see her once a year as a child because she lived over an hour away from us. While that made me sad, there’s a reason for everything. 😊 It’s been nice to meet you! I was watching a few of your videos earlier and you seem like such a nice person. 🙂

  4. John 3:16. I grew up reciting it. It didn’t mean anything to me. I understood it, yes, but in theory because I hadn’t met this Man. Until i did. And it became a whole new verse. The comprehension of what Calvary gave me: life in abundance, and a lifelong Friend, who loved me to death, changed my life. What’s your favorite verse?

    1. Aw, that’s a great verse ❤ I love it, as well. Even though it’s said so much and will lose it’s true meaning sometimes, it’s still very powerful. 🙂 I love Hebrews 1:3, all of Romans 8, and my favorite book is John. ❤

    1. He makes me so happy to talk about, and that has simply carried over into when I’m writing blog posts. ❤ You should write about God sometime! I would enjoy reading it 🙂

    1. I love those verses, as well ❤ They’re very inspiring! And what’s cool is that there’s a song by one of my favorite singers (Leeland) that is pretty much based off of those verses, and it’s called ‘Perfect Love.’ You should listen to it; I highly recommend their music! 5. My favorite (and go to) verse is ‘I can do all the things through Christ who strengthens me’ (Philippians 4:13). I apply this in my everyday life. Another one is Proverbs 18:10: The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it and is safe. Wonderful post! ❤

  6. Greetings and Blessings to you! My favorite (at least one of them) is “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore (Psalm 16:11 KJV).” 🙂

  7. I am experiencing the power of His word these days…. and my favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9 “…….for my strength is made perfect in weakness. “
