Little Accomplishments – February 24th, 2017

What have you accomplished this week?

Yesterday, I had an awesome idea for a post that I could do weekly (ever Friday), and this is the first one of the series.

I’m calling them Little Accomplishments!

Each post will contain a short list of the things that I completed in the past seven days, things that I’ve been needing to do (for however long) and am happy that I finally did them. In the comments, all of you are invited to share what you’ve done (mainly the little things, but big things are fine, too!) over the past week.

Let’s celebrate all of life’s joys – no matter how small!

This past week, I…

  • re-memorized recently learned Spanish words on Memrise. (I had been needing to do it for weeks!)
  • finished reading Waiting on God. (And I’m so glad that I did! It encouraged me greatly.)
  • went through miscellaneous papers. (Yawn. But it needed to be done!)
  • tidied my closet. (I don’t know why I kept putting this one off.)
  • wrote a blog outline. (Quite possibly one of the best things I’ve ever done.)
  • made a blogging schedule. (Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays!)

Comment what YOU’VE done this week down below – last Saturday through today!

This is such an awesome idea…do you mind if I do the same series on my blog? It’s 100% ok if you say no🙂If you do say yes, I’ll definitely mention you and your blog in the first post of the series and let everyone know it was originally your idea!😊

Good on you, Maggie! Well, this week I managed to complete the collection of short stories I’ve been working on for the past few weeks. I’m yet to re-memorize my French phrases. 😛

Thanks! Oh, that’s awesome!! I love writing stories. I haven’t completed very many short stories; most of my work are first drafts of novels. Haha! Yeah, I probably wouldn’t have memorized those words yet again, but the app constantly reminds me to do so! It’s great for memorization, albeit annoying. lol

You’re utmost welcome. I’m a wayward writer (which is why I don’t consider myself one sometimes) because I usually start stories and never finish them. When I do complete those novel type stories, it’s 2-5 years later. However, I’m working to complete all half way work, thus the reason why I’m trying to write more lately.

I’m very similar in my writing; I’ll vigorously write the first draft, often not finishing it, then coming back years later to rewrite, finish, touch up, and the like. So while I may write stories, I’m not really an accomplished writer haha

*grins* We share this writing trait then. It’s not something I’m proud of, but that’s how I work. Some years must pass before I return to the story. Anyway, I hope you’re having a great weekend!

Haha, same here. I would love to write every day, but my brain honestly doesn’t work that way. When I do write, I feel so accomplished! Thank you, same to you; I hope your weekend has been great. 😊

I really love this I will definitely try and read your little accomplishments every week.

I finished my school book. (I didn’t really like it but I am happy that I finished it anyway)
Memorised my Shakespeare quotes (This was hard but I did it)
Write and publish my weekly blog (phew. I really like writing my blog but I am happy that I finished it)

Such a great idea with a list of accomplishments:) Good idea to summarize a week!
I have written an essay about the happiness and my first poetry in English 🙂

Yes, it has helped me so much! I would talk more about how I did it, but it was my mom’s idea, and because she wants to write a blog post about it soon, she has forbidden asked me to be hush hush about it. haha

This is a great idea. You must feel a sense of accomplishment looking back on what you’ve achieved. And I love your blog name by he way! xx

Wow, reading all the comments it seems my life is b-o-r-i-n-g LOL. Lets see I cleaned the house, which isn’t new I do that every week…hahaha. I sprayed for weeds…ummmmm yep about sums it up 🙂 I do have a tip about cleaning 🙂 instead of spending one dreadful day doing ALL of it. I clean my bedroom, closet and bath on Mondays (this includes, washing the sheets and my bathroom towels) Tuesday clean the living room and kitchen. Wednesday the office and guest room, guest bath. Thursday, the laundry room and any maintenance cleaning( I’ll explain that if anybody just HAS to know LOL). Each day is about one hour. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. But it isn’t such a chore since this way.

Well, cleaning may be boring, but it is definitely productive! That’s a good idea, to spread out cleaning instead of packing it into one, stressful day! As I still live with my parents (as I should, lol), I have different little things that I help out with every day, but my biggest responsibility is my room. I love keeping it neat and organized, and I dust everything bi-weekly – aside from my desk, which I dust once or twice every week!! I can’t stand it when the shiny black top is sprinkled with dust, especially when illuminated by my twinkling lights, haha.
