Trusting God

We like having power. We love to be in control; we love knowing what to expect. It’s not easy for us to submit to the Lord and entrust our lives to Him, especially when we have no idea what the future holds.

How can we rely on His strength and trust in His timing? How can we keep ourselves focused on the fact that He has a good plan for our lives, even when we don’t understand?

The Lord knows our hearts. He understands our weak nature, the way we so easily revert back to our old ways of thinking and being. Because of this, He has provided us with many verses in the Bible that talk about faith, and of relying on His strength. He loves us and desires to take care of us, if we will only let Him. I can’t express this enough, but the Lord knows all of what you’re going through and He desires to help you, if you will trust in Him.

I’d like to share some of my favorite Bible verses with you, ones that talk about having faith in God. Enjoy. ❤

“Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.” ~ Proverbs 16:3 AMPC

Proverbs 16:3 has helped me so much when I’m struggling to leave my life in His hands – especially recently, as I’ve been thinking about one day serving Him in Guatemala. I know that He’ll work everything out in time. It’s also a huge comfort to me to know that if I trust in Him, He will align my thoughts with His will. Isn’t that awesome? ❤

Here are a few other favorites of mine:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” ~ Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.” ~ Psalm 37:4-6 ESV

If you need someone to talk to, the Lord is listening. I am here, as well – please comment if you’d like, and I will gladly respond. I hope you’re having a good evening/night. ❤
